Hello there ! Starting January 24th , I 'll be running a Dragonblood Exalted game on Wednesdays . from 1 8 :30 to 2 1 :30 , GMT + 1 . In text , for the sake of simplicity .
If you are unfamiliar , you are playing a chosen of the five elements (earth , fire , air , water , wood ) , blessed with powers , artifacts , sorcery , and martial arts beyond the ken of mere mortals . All in a crazy setting that resembles most to mythical ancient china . Plenty of wuxia elements . If you are familiar , we 'll be using another system from the official ones . Please do not ask me why the rules work like X instead of Y , and don 't try to hold me to the canon version of everything in your favored choice of edition . Just relax and let 's play .
I welcome new players , old players , medium -rare or otherwise cooked players . The main requirements are being able to be on time for session , and being able to play with other people . Being a text game , you don 't even need a proper microphone and high -bandwidth internet connection .
Not being afraid to reading some paragraphs is a bonus . I 'll be there to help with anything , as it is a system that will be new to pretty much everybody . But no matter how hard I try , I cannot completely replace the ability to look up things for yourself .
Speaking of the system , Exalted has a lot of meat on its bones , and some extra bones on its skeleton for even more extra meat . There is combat to fight monsters with the strength of ten men , there is social combat to debate with demagouges and make ghosts cry tears of joy with song , there is mass combat to lead your 300 into the Thermopylae and win , there are magical doodads and sorcery that messes with the fabric of reality . You don 't have to memorize them all , but a read wouldn 't hurt of the chapter you want your character to be good at .
