Single player- new to ttg

The only experience I really have playing is bg3.. I’m an avid listener of dimension 20 campaigns. I’m looking for a group to join that will be easy on a newbie and can teach me character building and the like. Available for weekday and weekend work play. Have discord for voice chat. Would be playing on steam deck

does it matter what system you play? I currently run my own system that i created and need one more player. were always welcoming to new players and i do my best as dm to make sure everyone is having a good time. System players very similar to Dnd with some twists. We playon sundays at 11 mountain (1pm eastern) Dm me is this is something that may interest you.
