Create Text in sandbox

hello I was wondering if it would be possible to generate  text in the sandbox when I post a line of dialog in chat, like in a visual novel? I'm just starting to learn the API and don't have a clue how to do this.

Do you mean having text appear on the map? Maybe something like this video demonstrates? If not, could you be more clear about the outcome/effect you want to have happen?
Yes, that's right, I want to have a Text object in the sandbox generated in real-time as I type lines into the chat box, or update the content.

The term sandbox is already used in Roll20 for something else, and that might be causing confusion. The place you draw a map, place objects, etc., is called the Map or Battlemap.

I think that area is technically called the Tabletop (or VTT, in the wiki, IIRC). A map or battlemap can be placed on the Tabletop. The Sandbox refers to the virtual space in which scripts run. The scripts can report to the Mod Output Console, which is what some people might have interpreted the OP request as. Terminology aside, Hi Yoon! What you want to do can certainly be done by creating and destroying text objects on the Tabletop. There are some hurdles you would need to overcome, though. No player or GM can control the view of another user. There is no guarantee that any player will be focused on the area you create the text. You could ask everyone to stay in the "Fit in Window" view, but that's a difficult situation to enforce, and might not work for all maps. Roll20 does not have a "caption" feature.
