This is a known "Bug"... it exists since at least as long as I am on Roll20. And I joined 7 years ago... There were Threads in the Suggestions Forum to change that, but as of now there is no update to this... aomarcelo said: How to stop my pages from snapping to the left for no reason, It make panning around very difficult, as i have to zoom in to do so.
Hey folks -- I just wanted to let you know, that this is indeed fixed in the Jumpgate version of Roll20 that we are building right now (Q1 2024 Beta coming your way!) You can checkout the latest blog post to see what we've been up to on this: https://blog.roll20.net/posts/jumpgate-crafting-delightful-surprises/

This is true, and I bet that it will be fixed in Project Jumpgate (the next tech coming to Roll20 that has been Announced). For a workaround, in the meantime, the best you can do is Expand the Page Size to something larger like 50x50 or 80x80, and shift your Map contents into the center. This will give you the power of panning without necessarily zooming. The workaround is really a pain if you're playing Pre-existing Module Pages that are already set up. The workaround is excellent and easy if you are just-now starting to build new Pages with Maps, since you can set the Page Size in the first place and center your map contents in the first place.
