I want to add warlock pact magic as a class resourse and make their spells consume it since there's no autometic pact magic feature, how do i make my spells use a specific resourse automaticaly instead of spell slots?
it have an automatic tracking system for normal full casters, half casters and 1/3 casters, but not for warlock pact magic, so i wanted to link it to a resourse.
What I do is I move the spells to the appropriate level. It takes a bit of work, but then the spell counter works correctly. Example: Hex, a level 1 spell, gets moved to level 2 when the Warlock gains level 2 spells. Level 3 when the Warlock gains level 3 spells, and so on.
but the automatic spell slot tracker that have in roll 20 doesn' track pact magic, only other casters spell slots, and having only warlocks have to manualy reduce their number of spells is... sad... wich is why i want to know if there's a macro to "consume this specific resourse", this would make the flow of the games way more enjoyable for then.
I don't understand, it tracks Pact Magic spells just fine for me. Are you upcasting them to the proper level? Alternately, are you putting them in higher level slots as needed? An example of that is below in the orange box. For example, Hex, a level 1 spell has been placed in the level 5 spell slot. One other question, does your DM have a Pro account?
that's not what i ment, if i use the spell, i want it to decrease the number of spell slots automaticaly, the automatic spell slot tracker doesn't work for warlocks, only for other casters, when you level up the charactermancer works with the spell slot number, but it doesn't work for pact magic and mystic arcanums, so i wanted to make the spell consume a resourse automaticaly.
Which API Script are you using? What you are describing is not my experience. It works just fine for me. When I use a spell, it descreases the number of spell slots automatically. The Automatic spell slot tracker works just fine for Warlocks. It also works just fine for Mystic Arcanum. Short rests do not restore the level 6+ spell slots, while Long rests do. To clarify: For me, level 1-5 spell slots are deducted properly, and restore properly on short rests. Level 6+ spell slots are deducted properly, and restore properly on long rests (but not short rests). So Warlock's Pact Magic and Mystic Arcanum are both working properly with the ammo/spell tracker. Perhaps if you show me your setup I could see better where the problem is?
Ad J. said: oh... so you nead API script? Yes, your GM needs a Pro account and to be running one of the various mods that can change ammo/spell counters. If your GM is not running one, that is why it is not keeping track.
