[LFP] [5E] [ONE-SHOT] Level 14 one-shot on Feb 24th at 11am PST

Edited 1708057364
I am no longer accepting applications. I am currently looking for 2 players to fill out a One-Shot adventure on Feb 24th and 11am PST. The session will go for 4-6 hours. The adventure is combat focused and designed to be difficult but not impossible. Still, to guard against a character death before the adventure completes, I am having players make 2 characters. The challenge will come from both the foes you will face and having to conserve resources. You will have defined goals but freedom of how to achieve them. Due to the advanced level of the characters and certain complicated aspects of the adventure I would prefer (but do not require) experienced players. I wish I didn't feel the need to say this but experience has made me cautious. I am looking for mature players (18+) who are not disruptive, who will not argue extensively, who understands that there are others at the table, who will be on time/prepared and can accept bad luck or outcomes with a sense of humor. If you are interested, please post in this thread with your discord, or through private message if you don't want to publicly disclose your discord. I will close the applications and contact all who apply by Friday the 16th to arrange a short interview (under 20mins). If I receive a large number of applications I may stop accepting applications sooner (I work long hours so I have limited time to do interviews). Below you will find the character creation that we will be using and the adventure's story, it is not required that you know these before applying but I am posting it so that you will have as much information to decide. Character Creation: I am only allowing official sources for character creation (with some exceptions, mostly partnered content). If you are unsure if something will be allowed, please ask in this thread. I allow feats and multiclassing. Due to the dangerous nature of the adventure, I am ok with a more min/maxed character (within reason), particularly in relation to combat. I prefer there to be some in game logic to character creation choices (multiclassing, feat choices, ect). Attributes and Health Roll 4d6D1 (minimum total is 78), max health for level 1 and average for the rest. Races The most recent official races with the following exceptions: Dragonborn, only the PHB version is allowed. Autognome, Hadozee, Kender, Plasmoid and Thri-Kreen are not allowed. Class/Subclass All official except the Following: Blood Cleric Blood Wizard Wild Magic Barbarian Wild Sorcerer The Sorcerer Subclass 'Clockwork Soul' can be taken but cannot be level 14 (multi-class only). Feats All official Feats allowed except those from Book of Many Things and Glory of Giants. Backgrounds Any official source with the following exceptions: Strixhaven, Sigil and the Outlands, Ravnica, Book of Many Things, Glory of Giants, Dragonlance and Astral Adventures Guide. Spells Currently the following spells will not be allowed for this one-shot: Planeshift, Temple of the gods, Mordenkainen's Magnificent Mansion, Mirage Arcane, Word of Recall, Transport via Plants, Guards and Wards, Forbiddance, Druid Grove, Arcane Gate, Hallow, Spirit of Death, Mordenkainen's Private Sanctum, Hallucinatory Terrain. Magic Items Once their characters are created, the player can pick magic items from a prepared list. The reason the magic items will be chosen after character creation is because I am trying to avoid characters built around specific magic item combo's. The Story: The Veiled Lodge started as a simple secret club. A place for the rich and powerful to engage in their political and financial machinations. On it went for close to a century, a bothersome but relatively ineffectual endeavor. Then, 5 years ago, it changed. It's members, politicians, nobles and tycoons, were able to amass immense wealth and power through intimidation, bribery and outright murder. Those who opposed the Lodge would find themselves a target of violence and horror. This change in the Veiled Lodge drew the notice of a small paladin order called the Bright Eclipse. They openly challenged the Lodge, but did not realize how deep the rot had grown. Within weeks, all that was left of the Bright Eclipse was an instructor in the Divine Arts, a small woman known only as The Little Star. She began to rebuild the Bright Eclipse, but this time drawing from local heroic figures. Together the Bright Eclipse regained its numbers and more. Still they did not have enough to face the lodge directly, so they worked in secrecy and from isolated cells of operatives to learned all they could. It did not take long to learn of the demonic taint. Fiends had infiltrated the Lodge and were directing the actions of it's members for their own evil purpose. Still this knowledge did not provide any advantage. Many members of the Eclipse would fall as they were routed out by the Lodge. In desperation, Little Star used her divine abilities and contacted a Celestial named Jai, an angel who sympathized with the material worlds plight. But Celestial law forbade involvement with the mortal plane and he was cast out from the heavens. Still his aid was instrumental in combating the lodge. For the first time, the Bright Eclipse was gaining ground. Many plots were foiled and the Lodge was forced to once again operate in secret. For years the secret war raged. Just two days ago, Little Star discovered the last hideout of the Veiled Lodge, an old dam built by dwarves ages ago. For the first time, you knew where the Lodge was operating from and could strike a mortal blow. As you planned your assault, disaster struck. Jai attempted to murder Little Star. The two had become lovers during their time together and the night before the planned assault Jai revealed his true colors. It took most of Little Star's might to subdue the angel but she managed to confine him. In an effort to learn why he would betray the Eclipse, and her, she learned that the Veiled Lodge had managed to subvert Jai through magical means. During the attempt to cure Jai of his forced alliance to the Lodge, he escaped and no doubt alerted your enemies to the fact they were discovered. Before the escape, Little Star managed to learn that the Veiled Lodge was much weaker than was suspected. This Dam did indeed house the last of it's members, most of who were now demonic hosts, and that they had begun a final ritual in which demon spores would be released into the water within the day. These spores would spread to all people, animals and plants for hundreds of miles. This ritual would turn the world into an apocalyptic hell scape. Your small group sent word out to the rest of the scattered members of the Bright Eclipse but for now it is just you on a very short time limit, against a fortified army of demons who know you are coming and without your two greatest allies.
One spot still available.
Good day Bowza, I would be happy to join your table and help out the Bright Eclipse against the Tryranny of nobility and demon. My discord is commissarhal. I did'nt see an additional thread so I'mma just place this here.
