(LFG) New player looking for a group to learn and play with

I'm brand new to table top RPG's but i am very familiar with video game RPG's and have wanted to expand to table top for years but have never gotten with a group. i have a character created who is a wood elf rogue, which is probably fairly typical but its my general playstyle in video games so i figured to learn the ropes it would be easiest and most fun with a character play type that I'm most familiar with. Anyway im very easy to get along with and I'm down to play any campaign, so hit me up!

Hey there Linus (?). I see you say that you have a wood elf, so I assume that you were looking for 5e experience, but would you consider playing a non-D&D game? I've got an opening for a little TTRPG called Nyx for Thursday 7:00 PM EST. It takes place in an imaginative world of dreams. Some of the key features of the game are: most of the character features of the game are a la carte, so there is a greater potential to mix and match abilities as you please. It's a strange world of dreams so you're likely to be in even stranger environments than a typical D&D session. While this world doesn't have wood elves or rogues, it has many intriguing forms and paths that you may like, such as the psychedelic and mystical machine elves or the dream thieving somniloquists. yeah i recommend finding a Dungeon World game if youre looking for something more narrative, RP, and story-driven, over mechanics and combat. We just had our mid-season finale of Dungeon World, but later this year, we will be finishing out the season
