Party of 5 LFDM for 5E. Thursdays or Friday mornings available.

Hello and thank you for viewing this posting. My parties Dungeon Master recently stepped away from the game to prepare and welcome a new member of their family. Alas, this has left our group without someone to run our games! The party - Ours is a group of very experienced players and DMs. Some have decades of experience in multiple editions, while I believe I myself have the least amount of experience. (5 years of playing and DMing in 5th Edition.) Game System - 5E D&D Module - We have a number of modules we are wishing to play. Our current front runner is Raiders of the Serpent Sea, followed by any adventure in Eberron. We are unwilling to play in Curse of Strahd or any similar genre. The hope is to have a fun, long term campaign and not one about making the best of horrible situations. (For example. We do not want a Culling of Strathholme scenario.) Fun, light hearted, occasionally dark is one thing. A march across an endless landscape fraught with peril, futility and suffering is an entirely different thing. With that being said, actions have consequences, which is something we wholeheartedly embrace. Duration - We would like each game to last 3-4 hours with a 10 minute break at the midpoint being allowed to get water/snacks/bathroom breaks. Time - Our previous time was 9 AM (PST) Friday mornings. It is possible that the time could be shifted a bit later, and that the day could be shifted to Thursdays as well. We would like to discuss this with any potential DMs before we lock that in stone. Gameplay - Our group has a fair mix of players. We enjoy a decent mix of role play and combat. Some of us lean more towards one end that the other, but we have never had an issue in communicating our wants and desires both in and out of character. Puzzles is *not* something we enjoy. Dungeon crawls are acceptable in small doses, but not to the point of Dungeon of the Mad Mage. 60 / 40, Roleplay's favor. Content - Along with official content, we do have homebrew content that we would enjoy approved. Whilst it is not a deal breaker if it can't be accommodated, it would be greatly appreciated! LaserLlama's content (The Warlord) and Valda's Spire of Secrets and obviously, Raiders of the Serpent Sea. Our party has also maintained a play by post in our campaigns for those moments of down time between sessions and for weeks where skipping is required. (Holidays, Sick Days, etc, etc) As with the homebrew content it is not a deal breaker, but it is something heavily desired by the party! Expectations - Our expectations are fairly simple for all players across the board. Open communication between DM and the party is first. It is required for an effective team and an enjoyable experience for all players involved. Consistent gameplay is another. We've all known and had players and DMs who simply disappear or have a reason to be late or no show every week. If missing has to occur, (Which is perfectly reasonable) please refer to expectation one. Conclusion / TLDR - Party of 5 players wanting a DM for Raiders of the Serpent Sea and, if possible, a Play by Post and a bit of homebrew for this homebrew campaign. If this interests you, please reach out! If not, thank you for stopping by and enjoy your day.
Hello there, you sound like a great group of players! Would you be open to a homebrew world/campaign? Feel free to contact me on Discord, Shyercaulfield Thanks!
I could make this work. I have been running my D&D 5e discord server for 4 years now and have that time slot open on EST time. I charge $20 per 4-hour session per player. Would you be ok with adding a 6th player too?

Hello koopa. I have an availability Monday. To answer your points directly I've been a player at most of the modules and would love to run raiders of the lost serpent. I was a big fan of it when it came out and been rushing for an excuse to get it. It is very similiar to a campaign i ran in the realm of Yggorasil. I focus on maintaining a table and offering a consistent immersive experience where i keep the world in the view point of your characters. A style quite similar and popularized on youtube where it is more focused on narrative play and creating scenes where the players are free to act out their characters and enjoy the consequences. As for homebrew content my focus is always with the table itself so however the table has decided especially when it's a pre-established group then my rules go out the table and we use yours. So as long as the table is okay with it then we can do homebrew without problem. With that in mind i tend to homebrew monsters and create dynamic boss bottles for the fact that dnd 5e combat at a base level does not offer a challenge that equals what players can do so they can be anti-climatic. The gaming part is another part that i try to focus on to keep the game exciting. I can be a visitor on your discord if you like and you can maintain your forum for your own roleplay and play by game night as well. Or we can make a new one. I have my own charge for my own daily post for forums and weekly games. I charge usually $25 a week for play by post. I don't think i'll be needed as if this is just in-character conversations then i can easilly make myself available when i can to clarify the world and any background information you need for the game and the world. I will charge your group $20 a person for up to 4 hour sessions. I also offer instead $5 an hour a session. My sessions can come with a lot and i leave a lot to player agency so things can get fairly exciting after 3 hours. If we stop after 3 or 4 hours or any time between whilr 5 is not perfectly divided i think we can find a consistent standard of pay if the group decides to stop somewhere between 3-4 hours. As for consistency I rarely ever cancel a session. I am a full tine DM. This is my only responsibility so i make it to my sessions without fail. If you wish to talk to one on one with questions please add me on discord #morddyn or private message me on here on roll20 or email at tonymolecules@gmail.com
