Recap: November 28, 2018 Wednesday While Network is trying to engineer a malfunction alert to draw the pirate crew to a point where they can be defeated/captured the rest of the team, plus the free Galactic Marauders hear a sizable explosion down the hall back towards the ring of hangar bays. Moving to see what is going on they see a man in powered armor wearing a green hooded cloak surrounded by dead Worms and a couple decimated bipedal creatures with natural exoskeletons laying around him. Doctor Doom has arrived on the moon!             Resume November 29, 2018 Thursday           Paladin steps into the hallway and addresses Doom, asking why he is here.           Doom replies that Paladin and company are known to the House of Doom. It is only because his Progeny speaks well of them that Paladin’s impertinence has been tolerated.           As for why he is here that should be obvious, Latveria was attacked. Doctor Doom announces that because Latveria was under the protection of the House of Doom ‘not a blade of grass’ was injured when the moon base attacked.           Paladin backtracks his statement as far as questioning why Doctor Doom was here but rather what he planned to do. Paladin tells Doom that he won’t allow him to destroy the moon.           Doom sadly shakes his head. He has brought a device with him that will transform the high-tech elements of the moon base into rock. He will make the moon the inert satellite that it was always meant to be.           It will take him time to reach the power source of the moon base, to connect his device to it, and withdraw. He gives the Brooklyn Brigade 2 hours to accomplish whatever they are here to do and escape.           Captain Richaal is okay with this as long as it gives him time to rescue his crew (that has been mind controlled by the Elder Worm), free his ship, and get the heck out of dodge.           He and his second in command (and girlfriend) (Princess) Synthre are very grateful for the team helping rescue their friends.           After Doctor Doom descends to the lower levels in search of the energy source he needs for his Doomsday Weapon Synthre reminds the group that all the members of the royal house of the Thalok Empire are telepaths. With her Mental Awareness she knows that all the members of the Elder Worm, or at least all the ones on this battle station, are also mentalists.           She also knows that the Worm put something on their crewmen that is acting like an empathic beacon announcing their location to the Worm. She thinks the beacons are also sapping the crew of their wills.           The plus side is that since she too is a mentalist the beacons are alerting her to where the crew are.           Two are a couple floors down but one is nearly 1400 KM in ‘that’ direction.           The Brigade hatch the plan of rescuing the two who are nearby then use Network’s mastery of cyberspace to transport the team to rescuing the remaining crewman.           The area two floors down has been converted into a production floor for creating bioweapons for the Worm. The Worm commander is using the bodies of his own people as source material to grow the ‘equipment’ for the upcoming invasion of Earth.           The Earth will become the new Worm World and all life of the planet will be modified to support the conquest of the universe. The Worm have no genders so they procreate by transforming conquered species into Worms – the Next Generation!           The only reason they have not already done this to Engineer Chaikayan, Science Officer Phinress, and Doctor Zeinert is they need their expertise in mechanical / electrical sciences which they would loose if they were converted.           Thank goodness for saving graces!           The production floor is hot and humid, ideal for Elder Worm, and an excellent environment for growing weapons and gear. The Worm are scattered across a large area leaving the mind controlled pirates and their robots to effect repairs on the battle station’s weapon systems.           Chaikayan, a naked orange skinned obese alien, and Phinress, a tall blue furred man in a blue jumpsuit, are the crewmen here along with a half dozen robot crewmen hard at work. The team descended on them like a tsunami, quickly subduing them.           Synthre tells the group the pair sounded an alert via telepathy when they were attacked but Worm reinforcements were too far away to respond but the Worm know that we are here and will likely take precautions.           When Phinress and Chaikayan are unconscious she removes cockroach sized bugs from behind their ears freeing them from the control of the Elder Worm and removing them from the mental network the Worm use to coordinate their activities.           The fight is successful but there was a few questionable approaches to the battle. Synthre asks who taught them tactics the Keystone Cops?           Revenant asks her how she knows who the Keystone Cops are and she replies that television signals reach them in space occasionally. Network apologizes in advanced for when Seinfeld episode eventually reach them.           Network takes the group and the pirates into Cyberspace. Using the information Synthre gave him before entering the battle stations computer network he homes in on where Doctor Zeinert was most recently.           Finding an available computer port Network pops the team, but not the pirates, onto the battle station’s bridge. Network grabbed Doctor Zeinert to pull him into Cyberspace while the rest of the team engages in battle with the pirate robots, Elder Worm Prime, a pair of Black Deaths, and seven Worm Warriors.           Zeinert controls bioenergy that he can use to heal the sick, raise the dead, and shut down biosystems. While Network is holding on to him Zeinert says ‘unhand me’ and nearly kills Network.           After nearly killing Network Zeinert, who is still under the mental influence of the Worm, runs away from the battle.           Revenant attacks Prime and falls victim to his damage shield causing Revenant considerable distress. Big Tuna grabs and restraints one of the Black Death but his solidly hit by one of the Robot Pirate crew. Paladin gets blasted by a Worm Warrior armed with a Bolter Rifle and is (as I recall) a serious Ego Blast from Prime.           In short the battle is not going well for the heroes who perform a tactical retreat. Inside cyberspace they start recovering and healing using Paladin’s laying on hand ability, They start working on a new plan to get Doctor Zeinert away from the Elder Worm.           They still have an hour and a half before Doom’s deadline. In that time they will need rescue Zeinert, free the Star Galleon, and get the heck out of dodge.
