Difficult Terrain Option

Score + 19
So I did a search first to see if this had been suggested or if it had, how recently, and most recently was 4 years ago. Essentially it would be great to have a tool that allows you to designate (similar to the lighting tool) areas that are "difficult terrain".

What would the designation actually do? Anything other than designate?  If it's just designate -- You could designate an area with the Drawing tools easily, or a Token that says "Difficult Terrain" or a picture of uneven ground, and put it on Map Layer.
It would invoke twice the movement cost, when you try to map your path and it intercedes or crosses the difficult terrain.

+1.  It would be really helpful to have both a visual indicator (some kind of pattern overlaid on the terrain players could see) and have the ruler measure "movement" rather than "distance" as an option.  I get a lot of questions from my players about what terrain in difficult and how far they can move.
An option to allow players to see it would be good, but also not to. Only because in some cases they wouldn't know until they discover it or the like.
+1 Interesting. I like that. Maybe with such enhancements my groups would use the ruler more often. It would be nice to have the ruler automatically switch to such movement option if a token has been selecten before.   Generally speaking aI would love to see a more intuitive and quick way to display (or hide away from players) and calculate token movement.
