Newbie LF free game to learn

I'm very interested in seeing how a dnd game would play out. I watch criticism role but understand minimly how things work. Without experiencing first hand, as I'm a do to learn kind of person. I'm in my 20's and would need to join an 20yr+ group preferably. Not looking for something extremely long term, just something to get me into it and learn all I can. I work two jobs but can figure out a time slot that could work
