Terrifying visions haunt you lately. Earthquakes devastate the city of Neverwinter, as blazing infernos destroy the surrounding woods and Krypt Garden forest. Blizzards and raging tornadoes coming down from Icewind Dale. Baldur's Gate and Waterdeep are completely flooded by a huge tsunami. This is what you must live with every day, knowing that the Sword Coast is coming to an end as the apocalypse nears. Doom is upon you all. You, the heroes, are the only ones who can save the material plane of Faerun. Through whatever means, the journey has brought you all to Red Larch, a small town south of the Sword Mountains. What secrets will you discover as you unfold the mystery of the Dessarin Valley and the lost kingdom that dwelt therein? You must find out why your visions brought you to this place, and how this is all linked together to save the realm! Featuring wilderness travel in the Dessarin valley, you can also expect there to be plenty of good old fashioned dungeon crawling. You will have the expansiveness of a sandbox experience while still experiencing this mega dungeon of an adventure! Princes of the Apocalypse is a 5th edition rendition of the Temple of Elemental Evil, which was originally created in 1st edition advanced Dungeons and Dragons! This being the first campaign I ever ran, I know the module very well and have learned how to adapt this to my players. In the style of the original adventure, combat will be tactical, and there can be sessions where combat is the whole session. Your characters are fighting for the realm and their lives in this epic and daring adventure. So, if you are looking for a classic dungeon crawl, and to experience a piece of DND history with high narrative and roleplay focus on it, then this is the module for you!
