Can I set things to automatically roll "as" the character rolling rather than player/gm or another character.

So, at the bottom right of the screen, under the chat box, there's that little dropdown menu that lets you choose a character to roll "as". However, as far as I can tell, there's no way to automatically assign that based on what character sheet the roll is coming from.

Now, as a player, this is a tiny irritation, but nothing more - since I'm generally only playing one character (or, occasionally, one with a satellite character or two), so I may make a few rolls as "Player" before I notice and change it to "character", with both of them obviously meaning the same thing.

As a GM, however, it is infuriating! Either you have to have everything roll as "Me (GM)", making it completely useless if you actually want to keep track of who did what beyond a turn or two, let alone making things easy for your players if you roll openly, or you have to continually scroll through a list that may well have hundreds of names just to make a single roll in what may be from a different window and frequently fail or forget to, leading to, for example, Gimli somehow casting a spell using Gandalf's magic stats.

Having not found anything, I'm not expecting that there's a way to make it so that, when you click a roll button on a certain character sheet, the roll is made as that character, but I thought I'd ask, as it seems a reasonable thing to wish for.

Hi Andy!

Depending on your sheet, you may be able to include the name of the character sheet that made the roll. I also believe there is a script that lets you change speaking as based on the token selected, but that is a Pro perk.

You can also use Stylus to adjust the list of ‘Speaking As’ entries. The downside is that this approach is device-specific, so each of your players would have to install the browser extension and code. The upside of that is you can make it easy for them by creating the code and sharing it through userstyles.world so that it can be automatically updated for your players.
