"Free Roam" Map Feature

What?: A feature that allows players to move their characters between maps without the GM's assistance. Why?: Oftentimes, my players want to meet up in-character and discuss their interests, but, that'd require me to move them off of the "Hideout" map and into a place in the world. Allowing them to move across the city like a MUD map would facilitate this. It'd also allow me to set quests and such in the overworld map, and allow them to scope out the exterior for planning how to get in, and how to plan their escape. I can still keep the interior covered in Fog of War, so they can't just go into the encounter and see everything while I'm not there. It'd also add to a feeling of immersion. They could go to markets across the game world and I could give them access to tokens they can click on, where, in its notes, it'd reveal their merchandise and what to buy (they deduct the wealth from their inventory and remove it from the list.). I can also put broad job offers from NPCs there, and upon their discovery, they can message me to arrange to do it, should they choose. How?: Like the GM feature that allows you to individually show other players maps while keeping others on a different map, this functionality would work the same for the player. For them to move from one map to the next, they'd have to put a token they control into a box that was placed on the map by the GM, for it to load the new map, and to go back, they'd have to move their token out of the box, and put it back in. Alternatively, they get a drop list like the GM, that shows all the maps marked for "public access" and they click on it, while dragging their token onto the map as you currently can.
If you have a Pro subscription I think the Teleport script can do cross-map movement amongst a bunch of other fun stuff. <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Script:Teleport" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Script:Teleport</a>
This was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
