has been missing for two days, Revenant and Big Tuna are at the Shogun Nakawa,
Impact joined yesterday and has a record of having left his association with
Chicago PART. Paladin got a scroll with the building plans for a temple
complete for Bast. Kismet
can not re-establish the mind link so she will do a quick mind scan to search
for him. She does not find him in the greater city of New York. So she tries
again by each boroughs. She will take extra time, 5 minutes. While she is
looking for Network Big Tuna asks if she could look for his kidnapped
grandfather. She asks Paladin who she should prioritize? Well,
she finds him, in little Tokyo. He is in the back room of a fish shop. Big Tuna
asks Paladin to launch a rescue mission to save grandpa. Impact
is out patrolling and sees a diminutive frog-girl shivering while she is
walking towards the Bunker. He approaches her and learns that name is Froggie
and she wants to join the Brooklyn Brigade. He
leads her back to the base and introduces her to Paladin. He gives Froggie a
clip board with the required forms to be filled out and sends her to a nearby
coffee shop to fill everything out. Meanwhile,
Kismet has managed to find the exact location of Big Tuna’s Grandfather. Tuna
and Revenant remain at the Shogun Nakazowa to distract Red Tie Guy and his men
while Paladin and Impact head to the Omiku fish market that the Tsukihama-gumi
Yakuza Clan made use of. Kismet
says that Grandpa is being held in the back room. Paladin
and Impact find the fish market. In addition to Grandpa there are 10 people
inside. Four are dressed as ninjas while the remaining six are either working
at the market or people shopping there. Paladin
has Impact rush in with his super speed to grab the old man and get him to
safety, which he gladly does but complications ensue. The
chain the old man is tied to is booby trapped with four sticks of dynamite.
Impact grabs the old man, chair and all, and carries him out of the building.
In the blink of an eye the four ninjas give chase. The are incredibly fast and
have super normal reflexes. They reach Impact before he is able to get the old
man to safety. They attack with their throwing stars with little effect. Impact
tears the bomb off the chair but the rough handling causes it to explode
severely injuring the old man. Paladin immediately applies his laying hands
almost completely healing him from the damage inflicted by the bomb. The
healing also regrew the finger that the Yakuza cut off and sent to Big Tuna. The
ninjas pressed their attack but only targeted Paladin and the (invisible)
Impact as secondary. Their focus was trying to kill the old man, possibly as
punishment for Big Tuna. One
of the ninjas ran a sword through Grandpa, he survived barely. Impact speed
away and took the old man to the hospital. He stopped along the way to bandage
him and stop further bleeding. Paladin
was in a rage that the ninja’s tried to kill the helpless old man. He leveled
the ninja that stabbed Grandpa and knocked him into the busy street where a
taxi ran him over. Paladin
then knocked the next ninja cold. The
remaining two ninjas popped wolverine-like cyber claws from their hands, using
their expertise in martial arts to try to rend Paladin to ribbons. One of the ninjas
landed a couple serious blows on Paladin before he and his comrade were defeat.
Paladin
restrained them and called for Lt. House of NY PART to come and collect him. Word
from the hospital is that Grandpa will be fine. Though badly injured he will
make a full recovery.
