[LFG] Former Player, looking to get back into Vampire The Masquerade

Greetings Roll20, I was a player for the Tabletop Roleplaying Game Vampire The Masquerade in the 1990s, during high school and even a little in college.  However, like everything after college, my group went separate ways, got jobs, married, had kids, or disappeared entirely.  But now I am curious how things have changed, I am wondering if they ever resolved the combat, botched, or soaking system, and made the game more playable, rather than just focusing on storytelling, because honestly, during the 90s, it pretty much was just a LARP (Live Action Roleplay), and there was hardly any purpose to use dice. I am looking for an experienced Game Master who is willing to ease me back into the world of vampires, and help me understand the changes.
Have you ever looked at Undying? I was thinking of trying to get into a group for it.  It is PbtA political vampire intrigue.  It is much more focused around the politics of dealing with other Vampires and gaining in prestige/status.  It is diceless and uses a resource allocation method of bidding as its main mechanical framework.
"Did IQs drop sharply while I was away?" Or did people on Roll20 just lose the ability to READ? I have said I am trying to AVOID Storytelling games, and wish to find a game that goes back to the roots of roleplaying with DICE, Miniatures, and actually using the MECHANICS of the game system, not the bullshit drama and politics that stink up the gaming world these days.
