Problem: Your party has just finished a combat encounter and it's time for treasure! Your DM then lists off 10+ items! You now experience pain and suffering as you try to distribute said items. Who wants to keep these extra swords? Can anyone use these potions? Should we keep these 20 arrows in case we find a bow? Who wants to hold onto them? What about the 10 pounds of food we found, who wants to keep that? Do we want to pool all our cash? Several sessions go by. Do we still have those potions from that boss fight or did someone use them? Did we sell those arrows? Has anyone been keeping track of the food? etc. Most parties I've been in like to pool and share items (i.e. shove everything into someone's bag of holding), creating a party inventory - but we have no way of managing this easily. Items get forgotten, things go untracked, it's a mess. Solution: A party loot window! A shared inventory window in which everyone can access. Sort of like a guild bank in World of Warcraft if you've played that. Main features: Everyone has access by default. It should allow for easy drag and drop of items between itself, character sheets and the compendium. If moving items between the character sheet and party loot, it should transfer the item, not copy it. Some basic exclusion logic, so two or more players can't try and move the same item in the party loot at the same time. A log history. Weight tracker. Money tracker. Some form of organisational structure that is customisable. Extra features which would be nice: A "to sell" tab or area, so the party (and GM) can easily see what's intended on being sold by the group for when they get to the next city. Players can then add in their own unwanted items or prevent something important being sold off. Would be nice if this area could also auto tally the gold value of the items according to the compendium. Your DM has already rolled treasure before the session? Add a way to easily import the items straight into the party loot! Maybe have a hidden GM tab or list area. Items in compendium have a small export button next to them to instantly place them in party loot. Saves drag n dropping.
