LFP for Curse of Strahd [18+, LGBTQ+, 5:30pm PST]

Game:  D&D 5e Group type:  Online Experience:  New / a few years / veteran Location/Timezone:  PST Schedule:  Looking to start some time in August on Fridays around 5:30pm PST Roles sought:  4 players minimum and 6 players max Game style:  70/30 RP/Combat Hi y'all, 27 non-binary DM here! I am looking to run the Curse of Strahd module again. I have 9 years playing D&D as both a player and a DM. I have made both major and minor changes to the module to be a more impactful experience and get you hooked into a, hopefully, unforgettable experience in the Valley of Barovia. If you have an interest in joining please feel free to respond to this post with a character idea you would like to do for this campaign. I use D&D Beyond for characters sheets, Discord for voice chat, and Roll20 for maps. I am looking for players who have not played the campaign, any level of experience and this campaign does cover some heavy topics and themes so communication is important between players and DM. Previously when I ran the campaign, it was an all women group and the way the module played out definitely made for a unique narrative. If possible I would stick to that dynamic but the biggest thing I am looking for is party cohesion. It is important for the party to get along with one another.   Thank you for taking the time to read this, thank you!
Am interested! Never played Curse, but I hear about it a lot, so this would be a nice dive into it so I can experience it for myself. Let me know what's up!
Here's my character concept btw: Thalia Swiftblade is a highly skilled and knowledgeable apothecary, dedicated to the art of healing. Her journey from her homeland to the far corners of the world has honed her skills and expanded her understanding of medicine. Burdened by the memories of those lost to the plague, she uses her expertise to save lives and push the boundaries of medical knowledge. Though socially aloof, her heart is kind, and her determination to heal is unyielding. With her tools and skill, Thalia stands ready to face any medical challenge, driven by the memory of her lost friend and the desire to prevent others from suffering the same fate. Class: Rogue Race: Human Background: Guild Artisan
Hey! I've never played curse of Strahd, but I do have some experience as a player. It's been a while since I've had time to play, but I'm also NB and would love to join your campaign. I think I'd want to go with an Aarakocra Ranger with the Haunted One background. They're from the Elemental Plane of Air originally, so they've only been adventuring for about a year. Their entire party was wiped out by something, so they're seeking a new party because they can't fight well on their own.
I am also interested. I have been wanting to play more of the official campaigns and CoS seems to be at the top of the list. I have a decent amount of rpg/dnd experience. I also have a number of character ideas and can adjust to fit the group.
Hi! I'm Rune. I've been wanting to play Curse of Strahd for a good while, because I love gothic horror and I've heard it's a really good adventure. To save time, I'll be up front that I'm not a woman, but I am part of the LGBTQ+ community.  I've been roleplaying for a super long time. Since I was a kid.  I had a rough gaming experience a year ago and want to get back into the hobby now but have had trouble finding a place in a good game. This game feels safe. To be honest I have a ton of character ideas for this, so I'm really happy to play any role. Here's a pitch for a wolfboy beast barb I've been excited about. Howle is a fearsome lupine guardian of a vast forest, forgotten by most of its more civilized denizens, but friend to the wilder folk and fauna . He recalls a time when there were others like him living in his cave, and a time when he watched  from the brush  as folk paid homage while passing by his people's shrine. These days, in his isolation, he finds himself expanding the range of his patrols into other lands in search of evildoers, adventurer, or maybe just some travelers to scare. His personality is inquisitive, Impulsive, arrogant, wrathful, and protective, with a poorly hidden soft side he adamantly denies if attention is brought to it. Despite an outgoing nature, he's usually disapproving of change or complications. Once he begins to bond with a being however, he is loyal to a fault. Race: Shifter Class: Barbarian Background: Outlander Hope to hear from you! Either way, have a fun game!
