Text Chat Not Working

Whenever I try to type something into the text chat, the text bar to indicate the cursor is locked on to the text box appears only briefly, and then vanishes. This means I can only type one character before having to click the box again. This is a problem both when I'm playing as a GM or as a player. I've cleared the chat archive and my browser's cache; the problem still persists. What is going on?

Hi WavetheWhite,  I just tested and I am not having this issue. It sounds like something is clicking away from the chat box.  Which browser are you using? 

I'm having the same problem. I can only type one or two letters before I have to click the text box again for more entry. Alternatively, I have to left click and hold once in the chat box, but it's irritating to only type with my one remaining hand. I'm on Chrome. In my play group, it seems that I'm the only one with the issue. 

Hi Outrider,  Could you please use Incognito mode and test to see if you have the problem? Alternately try Firefox and see if you have the issue in Firefox?

Thank you for the reply. - It works in incognito mode, and it does work in Firefox. 

That tells me you have an extension or cookie/cache issue that is interfering. Try clearing your cookies and cache, see if that fixes it.  If not, disable your extensions, see if that fixes it. 

Looks like it was Google Read & Write that was causing the issue. Disabling it seems to work. Thanks again.

Yeah, some extensions can interfere with Roll20 operations.
