Hello and Welcome My name/tag is Nick and I am looking for Players to start a DnD game. I would be GM'ing the sessions, probably with a little aid at times from the players. I must confess I haven't played in quite awhile. It's been many many years since I've played DnD with others and I have very little experience GM'ing. I used to really enjoy playing DnD with friends and have been missing playing. I found another group that was playing here on Roll 20 but the GM cancelled suddenly and since then I have been unable to find a group to join at the times I'm available. So I've decided to try my hand at GM'ing and start a campaign. I have many ideas for the world. It would take place in a world much like Forgotten Realms. Though not exactly, the world is mostly wild. Nature has taken over most everything with very small pockets of civilization. There is one main town that the characters would start in. It is a normal sized town and has all the amenities of a town that size. A giant wall separates the wild dark forest from the main town called Jorine. The campaign would start with the players picking from several adventures that they have heard of or have been posted on the board at the town hall. Most likely would be a trek into the woods to search an area for some purpose. Or another would be delving down into a nearby cave to explore or remove some pesky monsters. There could be a few things in town to investigate. Stories of a spike in townspeople having nightmares for some unknown reason. From there the campaign would progress in whatever direction the players feel like taking it, for the most part. As stated in the title sadly I am only available on Thursdays and early to noonish on Friday. I'm available any time on Thursday and that would be my preferred day to run the sessions. I also want to state early on that I'm not familiar with discord at all. I've only used it a few times. I'm not familiar with Roll20. I've only used it one day, my first session with the previously mentioned GM. It is worth noting the game style. I would only be using Roll20 for dice rolling and possibly uploading of characters. Everything from dungeon encounters to exploration will be communicated via voice chat. I am open to different editions of DnD. I've played 2nd edition very briefly I have a DnD 5th edition Rulebook but it is from an Essentials Kit. So it is somewhat limiting in what information is there. It will be much appreciated to link any rulebooks that we would need or be using, if possible. We will need at least 4 players. Just post here if you are interested. I will be checking this forum every few days at the least. We will be using discord but please remember I am very new to it and someone is going to have to tell me like you would a child how to use it. The name of the campaign New Game is Beguiled Shores.
