Saving 'From the Web' assets

DMed for quite a while now and I've made ample use of the 'From the Web' assets to supplement what I couldn't find on marketplace. Seems like a lot of assets that used to show up on 'From the Web' are now gone. Not sure if Roll20 is using different search results or if the host website if gone. With a google search, it seems like some of them are still there. In general, the search results of 'From the Web' seemed to have changed in the last month and are no longer helpful almost at all. A lot of these assets are still on my game pages. I was wondering if there is any possible way of salvaging them outside of moving and screenshotting them on a blank page?

Hi TychoRoc! If you select one of them on a page and press "Z", to preview the image, you can right-click to download the image. From the number of comments on this issue, it sounds like either the saved search snapshot from 100 years ago (when Google changed their API rules) is breaking down, or the source files themselves are rapidly increasing in becoming dead links. Dundjinni in particular is prone to this. I would suggest downloading whatever you really need sooner rather than later. Some of the still-semi-functional images might just be cached data, and might soon disappear. In any case, Roll20 cannot legally touch the contents of the saved search results, so this problem will only increase in the future. I would suggest using the free assets, or using a regular Google image search.

Hi TychoRoc,  If you'd like to have the From the Web show up like it used to switch "Everything" to "Token" in the top right corner of the Art Library.  The dropdown menu was altered to default to Everything so that people could more readily find their marketplace art assets. This has had the effect of changing what is shown in the From the Web results.  With that said, Keith is correct, there are a lot of other issues with the From the Web and it is not advisable to rely upon it.
