Getting an error "No ability was found for..."

Hello all! I have been running campaigns on Roll20 for over a year and currently plan to begin our 3rd campaign this weekend. During session zero, I asked my sorceress friend to use any spell as a test. It's not even custom - It was Magic Missile. The attack pops-up fine, but if we tap 'Show Spell Description' we get the error showcased below: I checked around the forum and this error was for *macros*. We aren't using any of those. Please advise what might be going wrong!

Hi Max Kuori,  What is the character's name? I am betting there are control characters in the name. 

The character's name is Lilian Fauve, controlled by Cat L. I tested it out a bit more and discovered that this issue is generally if my friend uses their spell from the Core section instead of Spells.

I suggest deleting the spell and the core reference to it, then drag the spell from the compendium again.
