[LFP] [5E] Darkest Dungeon | High Power Dark Fantasy at 7-9pm CST Friday

Ruin has come to our family Hardcore dark fantasy game about the psychological effects of adventuring, run by an experienced DM of 12 years and trashy writer. The ideal players for this game would play their character in every aspect, from executing with impunity until the vile creatures of darkness are expunged from our lands back to the pit, to breaking down under impossible levels of stress. But make no mistake, while the world may be terrifying, you are scarier than the creatures that lurk in these forgotten corridors spawned from an unknowable evil awoken by greed and vanity.  What you can expect: Hard encounters of heroic sacrifices and high stakes Lurking through dangerous corridors corrupted and shaped by eldritch powers  Physical, Mental, and Narrative consequences for mistakes Stress, Mutilation, and knocking on Death's Door instead of making death saves Ravaging, Debilitating Plagues Creation Rules: > Level 3 Start > Flaw based point buy system or rolling >No Dark Vision > Book of Nine Swords port, UA and homebrew options allowed           Player Application: Name: Discord: Pronouns: Tabletop Experience: Favorite Character and their story: Limits: Worst Tabletop Horror Story You've Experienced:  What homebrew class have you always wanted to play but couldn't:

If you have another spot I'd love to join please PM me :) Player Application: Name: Kathy aka Lidl Discord: (lidl) idl1k Pronouns: she/her Tabletop Experience: DnD and Pathfinder Favorite Character and their story: Xina Unchained Rouge, my most played in game for over 3 years. Started lvl 5 as a player later would go on to Co-Gmed with other players in our own world of magic and mischief. Xina was a twin of my sorcerer friend, using the pathfinder 1e and later the dnd 5e system, we got all the way to lvl 20 mystic lvl 10. We became gods at the end of the “main story” and had our children and wards start their own adventures in the world our original characters created. Limits: None, BRING IT ON! Worst Tabletop Horror Story You've Experienced:  Created a Sorlock (Kase female tiefling) with her own thought out backstory of eldritch horror and a misplaced wizarding school experience, custom art, and character voice. Killed 2 nd game with a TPK only the DM’s gf at the time was left barley alive. We all had to recreate characters to show we are ready to lose. what a waste L What homebrew class have you always wanted to play but couldn't:  Songfilch !!! Songfilch I tried to play this before but the GM made my class a poor mans version of the dnd 5e warlock, so I’d still love to try this the right way.

Well I will say this is DEFINITELY not the game to be buying art commissions for your characters unless you intend to use them in other games. Im not saying I will intentionally try to kill you just because, but if your chances in a normal game of dying is like 10% across an entire campaign, this is more like 25%. As for songfilch, it could easily be a half casting bard that gets some amount of sneak attack, probably tied to 3rd levels instead of every other level. Starting at level 3 so the token rogue doesnt complain about it. Unless there was something a lot more specific about it you wanted.  Also youre tryna play Jester arent you?
Songfilch does sound like a Jester class, if your talking about the critical role show. I never really saw the connection till now. But for a new dnd game I'd probably like to play something from the PHB so it would be easier for me and the GM (Maybe a druid or wizard :D) but I'd play what ever the game needs (heals tank utility). Also we were not trying to die lol but we were lvl 3s running from a wyrm. In the worlds largest open field somehow, we somehow didnt see it coming... Thats old news though I've played enough to know that was not the type of game for me. Im hoping to get back into dnd after this break Ive been on and saw your game :)
No I mean the real Jester
I will have to run this on Thursdays now
