Accessible only by a magically sealed pass that opens every few decades, the town is isolated but provides a pleasant living for it's residents. The pass has opened. Farmers, smiths, and other tradesmen are selling their wares to the cavalcade of merchants, imperial diplomats, and explorers that have flocked to this place. Those who have spent their entire lives in this small town have finally stepped out into the world.. and discovered many things are not what they expected. This game is planned to reach lev 20 with world-shaking consequences by the end. The adventure is custom built around the party, telling each character's story as we learn more and more about a changing world. We will play each week, skipped sessions will be rare with as much notice as possible when it does happen. Current Roster Level 14 as of August 27, 2024 Bently : Human Armorer Artificer: Bently always gazed up at the moon in wonder. When he finally took his lunar shot, he was almost killed, but he also met his best friend. Now, they've been separated and Bently seeks his family beyond the pass. Dante : Fire Genasi Wildfire Druid: Possessing only fleeting memories of his origins, Dante loves Orchard Vale and the family that raised him here. But still the flames call to him, whispering of his lost home. Storm 'the Devout' : Custom Lineage Oath of Devotion Paladin, Hexblade Warlock: There's a Storm coming. And he is a soldier through and through. Fighting to protect what he cares about and doing the right thing, most of the time. Edwin : Mountain Dwarf College of Swords Bard, Paladin: A servant of Baccus, Edwin makes the best mead in the whole empire, and don't you dare say otherwise! Davidyr : Half-Elf Hexblade Warlock, Rogue Like some of his companions, Davidyr seeks out his family, his father in particular. But the fire in his eyes suggests this may not be a quest of love. Game Progress We are at level 14 out of a planned 20 level game and the group is going strong. This campaign likely has a little under a year left. We would love to have another player join us as we delve deeper into the mysteries of a broken world. If you want a chance to finally experience a consistent high level homebrew, this is it. Tools used Roll20 will be our virtual table-top which we will use for maps, music, and other visual aids. Discord will be our primary means of communication, with dedicated voice and text channels for the game. Our rule books and character sheets will be hosted on DnD Beyond . I will share my library with you whenever we level up. I recommend, but do not require the Beyond 20 Browser extension. This will let you use Roll20 and DnD Beyond together seamlessly. About the GM My Strengths Over 30 years experience gaming with every kind of group. Reliable long-term games : Over 90% of my campaigns finish as scheduled. Cancelled sessions are very rare. Flexibility and Communication so we can work together to tell a great story. Tactical combat : I understand the rules but do not let them bog us down. Storytelling: Sometimes the 'Rule of Cool' is how legends are made. My Limitations I am not a voice actor, especially when it comes to accents. With this in mind, I work to make interactions memorable in other ways. I can be forgetful. I keep notes to help alleviate this. I also give incentives to players who choose to help recap and take notes.
