Hello everyone, I'm interested in DMing a game based in the world of Norrath, using the rules of D&D 5e. I'm open to some home brew rules to align it more closely with EQ, but I'm more interested in revisiting some of the dungeons, cities, quests, and NPCs that I fell in love with while bringing it alive for another group of players as well. Some things to keep in mind: - I'm interested in using sprite-based graphics for the world (yes, like GBA/SNES RPGs, and yes, I know they are not remotely EQ related.) This is to help create a more coherent experience as DM. I'd prefer these over the "realistic" content at the moment. If you're interested in the idea, but don't like this - please message me anyways! - I've never DM'd before, and have very little actual playtime experience - but I'm pretty familiar with the world these adventures will take place in, and think I can help craft a semi-believable story/world. Example: We will not be setting foot in Lower Guk at level 1. If you're familiar with 5e rules and wouldn't mind being patient with me, I'd love to have you. Also, please don't expect detailed clones of the actual maps, or EQatlas maps. I'd like to have some liberty to create interesting content for the players, and those who've memorized these dungeons will automatically have an unrealistic advantage. - I'd like to play bi-weekly, sometimes a bit longer in between. As a first time DM, I'd rather have more time to prepare better content, than constantly get together and come up short. I'd also like to offer everyone in the group the flexibility of 1 game every 2-3 weeks (if necessary.) If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, I would love to connect with you. Feel free to respond here, or PM me. No estimated start time yet, just putting the feelers out there to see if anybody would be interested in something like this. Thanks, Danny
