Newbie to virtual play

Hello all! I'm relatively new to DND and TTRPGs as a whole. I love writing, i love rpgs, therefore I have aspirations of being a professional GM in the future. However, I want to get as much experience in the game as possible. I have a table that I run irl. I'm essentially the forever DM of my group and the process of finding other active groups irl is...daunting at best. So, while that's happening I'm trying to join in groups online so I can gain more experience on the other side of the screen. I do need to say that i've never played virtually, I use roll20 as reference more than anything, but I'm excited to give it a shot. I'm a writer, therefore I have a ton of time on my hands and love any excuse to not actually write so I'm very open on time. I have a few adventure/campaigns/settings/what have yous that I want to play in; Vampire:  The Masquerade, Wild Beyond the Witchlight or anything else involving the Feywild to name a couple. I'm a serious-ish player, i do enjoy silly and comedic things but when it completely takes over or when it ends up interrupting story flow and roleplay, I'm over it. I am new, I started playing early this year but have been into rpgs, including tabletop, since i was a kid. Never had too many chances to play dnd or any other ttrpgs for that matter. I'm decent in theory, not practice lol If you see this and have space in your party, are looking for players as a DM, or are in a similar predicaments as me, let me know. Any other questions, I i wll answer as I can Thanks!
Hey Circe! If schedule fits, I’m running a game set in the bustling town of Restinford—a place where heroes are made, and every decision could mean life or death for the townsfolk. We play on Tuesdays at 1030/1100 am EST start time for 2.5-3 hours, and I’ve got a few open spots for brave souls ready to dive into a world of mystery, moral dilemmas, and high-stakes adventure. No pressure, but if you’re interested in getting that player character D&D fix, feel free to message me. Your next great adventure might just be waiting in Restinford! The game is just getting started and i am fishing up some players to have fun and make friends.
