Bug: Can't change text/label border/outline colour as player

I've had this bug forever (since 2018 at least):

Using the Text tool on a game table, once I place a text label down, I can no longer change its border/outline colour.

To reproduce the bug:

1. In a Roll20 game, use the text tool and create a label box with text in it.
2. Once the text is placed, change the outline/border colour of the text.

Expected behaviour:

• The text outline/border colour should change to the new selection.

Actual behaviour:

• The text outline/border colour changes briefly, but reverts back to the previous value within a second.

I've tested this in Firefox & Chrome (win+android) and on different computers. It seems to only occur when I'm a player in the game (not GM).

Fair point. Unfortunately Roll20 has never had Text Ouline as a feature. It only has the stroke-color of the text available.

The nearest workaround for now is copy-paste your text in another color like black and slightly offset the position to make a shadow, or use the drawing tool to put a solid rectangle behind your text to make it stand out. 

What do you mean? There is text outline feature on Roll20 right now! — it's had it for years!

Yes, text doesn't like being altered after being put on the table. The workaround to this is to put new text down and delete the old text. 

If your intent is to report this to the Devs the best method for that is the Help Center as the Bug Report forum is primarily for community assistance.

That's great the feature exists in Roll20 then and I hope the bug is fixed.
