Character Token Not Resizing

I am struggling to figure out this issue. I format all my maps to have a 140x140 dpi resolution and configure the grid to be 2x70 per square. My tokens are all 280x280. Everything was working fine. When I drag a token to the map, it resizes to fit within the grid. I assigned a token to a character and drag that character onto the map and it resizes properly. Everything working as expected. I decided I wanted to change the token for an existing character. So I created a new 280x280 token and uploaded it. If I drag the token directly onto a map from the library, it auto-resizes just fine. However, if I update the token assigned to the character to this new token (which is the same size), it no longer auto-resizes when I drag that character onto the map.  Here are a few things I tried... I created a brand new character and assigned it the new token. It auto-resizes just fine when dragged to a map from the journal. I updated the token on the brand new character. It continues to auto-resize just fine. I removed all tokens from a character that was having a problem and even the default token is not auto-resizing. Here is a reference for the attached image... A is the image copied directly to the map from the library. It auto-resizes exactly as expected. B is the image when I drag the character with this token from the journal to the map. It is the same image as A, but does not auto-resize. This is a character that already had an image assigned to it. I updated it with the new image as the token. (the original image was working fine, but if I now change the assigned token back to that original image it no longer auto-resizes) C is the image when I assign the token to a brand new character and then drag that character from the journal to the map. It auto-resizes just fine. I can even assign a different token to this character and it continues to auto-resize just fine. D is the default image when I remove the token from a character that was giving me problems and drag that character to the map. Even the default image is no longer auto-resizing. It seems that something has happened to the existing characters that has broken the auto-resizing of the tokens. Since this all works as expected except on these existing characters, I do not see this as a bug but rather something that must have changed in the config of those characters that is causing this result.    I am at a loss figuring out where to look. If anyone has any thoughts on what I could look at, I would appreciate it.
I did some additional testing and have zeroed in on the trigger for this problem. I can now replicate it at will. Create a new character and assign a token through the character edit window I create a new character in the journal and assign a token to it by dragging the image from the library to the character Drag the character from the journal to the map The token auto-resizes as expected Remove the character from the map Change the assigned token through the character edit window I edit the character, remove the current token, and assign the new token to it by dragging the image from the library to the character Drag the character from the journal to the map The token auto-resizes as expected Remove the character from the map Update the character token by selecting it from the map and clicking the 'Use Selected Token' button I drag the new token to the map and it auto-resizes as expected I select that token on the map and then edit the character in the journal I click the Use Selected Token button and the token on the character updates to the new token I had selected I remove the token from the map I drag the character from the journal to the map The token does not auto-resize From this point forward, no matter what token I assign to the character or how I assign it, it will not auto-resize. Even the default token will not resize. Create a new character using the selected token I drag the new token to the map and it auto-resizes as expected I select that token and create a new character in the journal I click the  Use Selected Token  button, and the token on the character updates to the new token I had selected I remove the token from the map I drag the character from the journal to the map The token does not auto-resize From this point forward, no matter what token I assign to the character or how I assign it, it will not auto-resize. Even the default token will not resize. The common thread here is Use Selected Token button. If I use it to update a character token, then the auto-resize from that point forward will fail for that character. This is true for both a new character and when changing the token on an existing character. Even the default token will no longer auto-resize. Some technical details. I am running Chrome. I cleared my cache. I deleted all existing characters in this game before attempting the above tests.  I also ran the above tests in one of my other games and confirmed the same behavior.  I am curious if anyone else has experienced this. Thanks

Hi John S.,  What is the grid size on the page you are setting up the tokens on?  If that grid size is anything but "1" it can impact the size the tokens come in at when you drag them from the Journal tab.
Hi Gauss, Do you mean the Cell Width for the grid? It is set to 2x70px = 140px Each grid square is on the map is 140x140px.  The map width is 36 cells x 70px = 2520px And the height is 26 cells x 70px = 1820 I will try this on a map that is instead scaled to 70x70px so it is 1 cell per square and see if that makes a difference. Thanks
Woo Hoo!! Success. That fixed the issue. I rescaled my map to use 70px squares and updated the page settings to match so that there was only 1 cell per square.  I ran through all my tests above and in every case, the character token auto-resized as expected. I will update all my maps to be 70px per square. Thank you for the assistance.

To clarify, the Cell Width (that is the name I forgot to call it earlier) does not need to be set to "1" on all maps, just the map you set up your tokens on.  After setting up the token on that map it can go to any other map and it will be correctly sized.
Ah. That is good to know. I will do some experimenting. Thank you.
