Venture into the mists and unravel the dark mysteries that lie within the cursed land of Barovia. Will you muster the courage to face the ancient evil that reigns over this forsaken domain, or will despair consume your spirit as you struggle against overwhelming odds? The choices you make will shape your journey, but the land itself holds its own grim fate. This campaign begins at Level 2, initially leading you into the haunted halls of the infamous Death House. This harrowing introduction sets the stage for the horrors that await as you delve deeper into Strahd’s domain. This game will be utilizing elements from the Reloaded creation to enhance the overall story, while at the same time progressing through the main book content, although very much revised. This is all to better enhance overall roleplay potential, while still being as true to the experience of Curse of Strahd overall. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Some general tidbits for houserules or simply clarifications First level will be max HP, every level after will be rolled HP, any 1's get to be rerolled once taking the new result, this is to hopefully give you as players some breathing room for the waveyness of dice, while not always being crazy potent in health. Each player can freely allocate one 16 and one 8. 4d6 drop lowest, in order, for the remaining 4 stats. There is no flanking in the game, this feature has been disabled for you and the enemies. Potion drinking is a bonus action for yourself as the new rules showcase, giving anyone else a potion is still an action. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Why Play with Me? As you navigate treacherous terrain, haunted ruins, and cursed villages, every decision may be your last. Iconic Locations and Horrors: From the oppressive atmosphere of Death House to the twisted landscapes ahead, prepare for a gothic horror adventure like no other. Your Fate, Your Story: Will you become heroes, fighting against Strahd’s reign of terror, or will the darkness claim you, leaving Barovia to suffer under his iron grip? Ready your blades and steel your resolve. The shadows are deep, and the road ahead is perilous—but glory and salvation might lie at its end… if you dare to seek it. ~~~~~~~~ A little about me Hello all, I simply go by Remagen or Rem for short, I've been playing tabletops since I was around sixteen years old, and I'm now almost thirty to give you some perspective. I've been GMing for over five years, in an estimated ballbark. I try to be cohesive with my rulings, and always provide a steady, welcoming experience. Why am I charging for my game? Well, simply put I need to be able to live as much as anyone else, though I don't need a lot to live, so I am only expecting 5 dollars per session from each player, a small and hopefully reasonable fee. This helps me to keep trucking with excess needs for the game or otherwise in life, while also unfortunately keeping an expectation for my players to stick with things while still being an affordable pricing range overall for hopefully most to be able to commit toward. We currently have one player in the game already, I am not terribly strict so long as you understand what you're getting into overall, we hope to have fun and stroll through this journey together. LFG listing link: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/407956/curse-of-strahd

Current players 2/5. 3 slots remaining
We are now at 3/5 players. 2 more slots remaining to get this rollin.
2/5 players currently. Due to prior obligations with family health, one of the players have dropped. We are looking for three to get this fully rolling at max players, though three players is technically fine for the bare minium needed to start properly.
2/5 players. Looking for at least one more player to get things started at the bare minimum. Game will still be open for recruitment after that to a maximum of 5 players.
4/5 players We are now at four players. One more slot remaining if anyone is interested in joining up.
