Aspect Ratio for tokens pulled from the journal is forced to square.

I've noticed a recent issue where tokens dragged from character sheets in the journal are forced into a square aspect ratio, or otherwise resized oddly. I couldn't find any option in the settings to fix it. It appears to happen on some boards, but not on others. The tokens can be manually resized as normal. Would love to know what might be up here.
Dragging with the Alt key works for me, and works on some boards but not others.
I should note, neither of the four boards we tested had grid on. The Alt fix works on some but does not work on others. Apologies for the duplicate of this thread: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/10482144/slug%7D

Hi Dalm, I am not having that problem. To clarify, are you dragging the Character from the Journal tab? Did you set up the token first and then update the token to the Character? Did you set up the token on a page with the Cell Width set to "1"? As for the duplication of thread, this is not a duplicate. Roll20's policy of closing threads older than 2 months makes "duplicate threads" here different than elsewhere.
I have also been having this problem. Dragging from the journal tab is what's having the issues on my end- i'm playing in the same games as Dalm. For reference, this is using the Fate Accelerated gamesheet as the default game sheet. The Cell Width on our boards is set to 70 px. i have not been able to change this, even on my own boards- the page will not let me edit the option.

Nea, Did you set up the token and then update the token to the Character? Regarding Cell Width, you do not edit the pixels, you edit the Cell Width multiplier. Ie. the number "1". However, for setting up tokens the number "1" is the correct value.

I'm not sure what you mean here. The FATE sheets have an avatar and token field, and generally I just upload the token to both, then drag it out from the journal. If i instead drag a token from the library it usually (but not always) works fine. I'll double check the cell width soon.

Ok, it sounds like you are skipping a step. You need to set up the token, then update it to the Character for the "master token" stored in the Character to be updated. Uploading the image to the token does not do that. And it doesn't tell the system the token's size. Here is the procedure for updating the token: Put the token on the table (make sure the table's cell width is set to "1") Size it Edit the token and set it up the way you want Save the token Open the Character click Edit then click "Update Default Token" Save the Character Until you do that it does not know what size you want the token because you haven't set it yet.
Yes, but in the past when we were using this setup, it would default to the aspect ratio of the token, which it no longer does, even though we're not using the grid. It's good to know there's a way to do that, but it's still frustrating- the community we play in runs primarily pickup games, which means people are usually uploading their own tokens, which they can only do through character sheets iirc.
I found the cause of the problem on my end! It seems like it was caused by the grid settings in the GAME settings, i.e. on roll20 the site, rather than the app! Nea and I have been working together to try and find a solution, but haven't found one that works for her yet, despite that the above works for me. Bizarre!
