Hey everyone, I’m running a group of 4 players, I am looking for one more. This is an ongoing campaign, it has been going for over 7 months. Since the game has been going for that long, we are playing 5e (2014) edition, and will most likely not be switching to 5.5e anytime soon. This is a copy of the game’s intro page, you can join by clicking on the link below and putting in your application in the correct post. —————————————————————————— **[The game has been going for over 7 months at this point, and we are now looking for a new player]** The Story: [Updated] You join a Detective Agency in the City of Doors - Sigil. Arriving in the Cage, the fresh Clueless that you are, perhaps seeking fame and jink (gold!) or perhaps you've joined the Agency seeking something else? Perhaps something bounded to your past, or the secret of the multiverse? Regardless, within the Agency, you might just find it out, and earn some coin along the way. —————————————————————————— The Kuzunoha Detective Agency, home of the detective group The Dark Chanters, Famous for finding Sleeper-Agents of some vile cult in all of the Sigillian Factions, Has put out a notice that they are seeking an additional member! Will you answer the call to join their ongoing adventures? -------------------------------------------------------------------- **Base Requirements for the Game!** Heya everyone! 1. Players need to be **18+ of age**. 2. Game is **14:00 (2 PM) GMT+3/2 on Saturdays Weekly, for about 3-4 hours**. Players gotta be consistent as much as possible and not constantly have stuff that might overlap with the session on the day. 3. The game is in audio over discord, so a **good microphone is needed!** Please keep background noises and grumbling over the microphone to a minimum. 4. We are all **here to have fun, so please have common sense** and be **polite and respectful.** --------------------------------------------------------------- **Basics of what Players can expect:** Roleplay: High Combat/Tactics: Medium+ Puzzles: Low-Medium Experience Level: Basic (Know how to make a level 8+ character without hands-on help) **In-Depth Things to Expect:** - Campaign structure: A linear set of missions followed by downtime in-between structure, within missions you usually have freedom to do as you want, sometimes also linear. - My priorities for the quests: I usually think up cool mission ideas, involve them in the overarching story, and after I sometimes construct player backstory involvement. The focus is on doing cool stuff and only if I can think of how to center this on a character’s backstory do I add it on top. - Morally Grey Choices and Villains at times, other times it's a straight-forward evil. - Assumes the Character wants to join in and do jobs for the Detective Agency. - Some missions/quests/jobs can have almost zero fighting some have a lot, focus is on roleplay. - We're still playing with the 2014 5e version, not the new 2024 version. - Character background will be linked to an existing player's character background to simplify the transition into the game since there's already a lot of lore and a lot of personal character involvement going on as it is. - Characters must be part of a Sigillian faction, factions can be found here: [Original Factions / Before Faction Wars] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faction_(Planescape) Faction powers I made for 5e: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-xa0LM6JrYS1tTYGyWk72OzjDu4qjYJqyWSsgOGW5UQ/edit?usp=sharing - No 3rd Party Stuff for character creation. - Current party makeup: paladin, bard, wizard, cleric - Party is currently level 8. -------------------------------------------------------------- Link to the game page: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/375564/planescape-planar-pis
The timing and system are poor fits for me but cool premise. I ran a Planescape game a la 2E setting with the party as mostly-faction-neutral operatives for hire. Sometimes it felt spy-y and just as often almost crime-drama-y with the group as enforcers for hire. Anyway, I would +1 you for a cool premise if this platform had such things. Good luck!
