Possible Attack Macro for [5e]?

Hey guys, I just started playing around with the macros to streamline our [5e] battles and was wondering what other macros people use for attack and so forth? I don't know how to code, so have not really touched the API. Currently I am using something like this for my ranger. /r {(?{Do you have advantage or disadvantage? (1-yes/0-No)|0}+1)d20k?{Disadvantage?(L-Yes/H-No)|h}1+@{selected|Str} +@{selected|Prof Bonus}}>@{target|AC} or /r {(?{Do you have advantage or disadvantage? (1-yes/0-No)|0}+1)d20k?{Disadvantage?(L-Yes/H-No)|h}1+@{selected|Dex} +@{selected|Prof Bonus}+2-(?{Are you taking -5 Atk for +10dmg?|0}*5)}>@{target|AC} I know its ugly but are there better ideas? Thank you.

Moved to Specific Use Questions.
I started this in my D&D 5e playtest group awhile back... we just use two attack rolls in every macro. Always use the first one if you don't have adv/dis or whichever is higher/lower if you do. So a basic melee attack macro looks like... /me attacks with a long sword. Melee Attack [[1d20 + 2 [Prof] + 3 [Str Mod]]] | [[1d20 + 2 [Prof] + 3 [Str Mod]]] vs AC [[1d8 + 3 [Str Mod]]] damage
I agree with HoneyBadger (and Actoba based on his sheet design)... there is a tendency to want to go complex with macros (I myself have done this over and over), but the reality is sometimes the simple solution is the most "playable".
Try Actoba's sheet for 5e, and if you are looking for even more streamlined and additional features feel free to check mine out: <a href="https://app.roll20dev.net/join/33194/xRK2TQ" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20dev.net/join/33194/xRK2TQ</a> I added stuff such as selecting the target, which puts a marker token on the target, whispers the GM the target's AC, etc
Here is my basic 5e D&D melee Attack Macro: /emas @{selected|token_name} attacks @{target|token_name} with his ?(Weapon Used}... /r 1d20+@{STR}+@{PB}+?{Modifier|0} vs. @{target|token_name}'s AC @{target|AC} /r 1d?{Die Used|6}+@{STR} \ ?(Damage Type} damage. I have a separate Advantage and Disadvantage macro for when it is needed: /emas @{selected|token_name} makes an Advantage Roll... /r 1d20 The higher d20 roll of the two is used. /emas @{selected|token_name} makes a Disadvantage Roll... /r 1d20 The lower d20 roll of the two is used.
I generally go with a mix of complex and simple. I try to minimize the number of pop-ups needed so the user can just click the button and forget about it. Using spacing and special characters to line things up visually for quick reading. This rolls twice, you just ignore the second roll unless there's advantage involved. Rolls damage. Since there's no Crit confirm in 5e, it then shows you how much extra to add if it was a crit. (5e crit is just an extra weapon damage dice roll without modifiers) /me raises his shortsword and handaxe to attack his enemy! [DualWielding] MAIN:[[ 1d20 + 3[Dex] + 2[Prof] ]]♦[[ 1d20 + 3[Dex] + 2[Prof] ]] for [[ 1d6 + 3[Dex] ]](P) Dmg ---If Crit :+ Addt'l [[1d6]](P) Dmg OFF:[[ 1d20 + 3[Dex] +2[Prof] ]]♦[[ 1d20 + 3[Dex] + 2[Prof] ]] for [[ 1d6 ]](S) Dmg ---If Crit :+ Addt'l [[1d6]](P) Dmg

HERESY!!! ^_- I'll happily use a very complex ugly macro, if the end result on the screen is elegant and clear.
