Turnmarker1 issue with one JG game but not another.

Hi, So I have a game running the Tomb of Annihilation module for 5e and have happily been using Turnmarker1 and other scripts for ages.  Recently I tried !tm --help and then other !tm commands and they were not working.  I restarted the game.  Still not working.  I disabled scripts one by one.  Nothing.  Pared it back so only Turnmarker1 was the active script.  Nope.  Uninstalled the script, and reinstalled.  Nope.  Both Firefox and Chrome tested.  The ribbon is on the map I am trying to run the commands on. Spun up another game using ToA and added the script.  Yep all works fine!  Now I will migrate from one game to the new one if I have to but would rather not.  Now I have checked the output console of the API and nothing pops in there.  I have tried looking at developer tools in the browser but i didn't know what I was looking at to troubleshoot. I have done something daft I know but can't fid any difference between the test ToA and the live ToA apart from my own custom maps and handouts.  Turnmarker does work when I move on to the next initiative I just can't run any chat commands.

Hmm. That is peculiar. Do other script commands work?  What is your player name in the game?  It will try to whisper you the output, but if your name has a " in it or some other special characters, it will fail to send it to you. 
!pot and !eot both work and I think all the others are except !tm --help but I get no confirmation in the chat.  !tm toggle-animations with get the token spinning and I can see it happen but in the apitest game I get   (From ):   Animations  are now  OFF . My GM name is "DM Donkey" with no special characters and is the same as the apitest game Where in Chrome or Firefox do I look to see any errors relating to api's? I have looked through it all and can't find anything.  Mod Output Console doesn't change whenever I run a command.  I have seen that there are 3 webworker loads which I have seen in an older post you were in may or may not be an issue. I have removed ALL scripts and loaded in then exited then added Turnmarker1 and still it is the same.  Token-mod also doesn't work when I try that.  I have tried other scripts such as Keith Curtis' "Dynamic Light Tool" and that works fine.  It is only The Aaron scripts....sorry Ok, after writing my last sentence I then went and installed your GroupInitiative again to check that.  That works for everything except !group-init --help  So it looks like all your scripts in this game are working in my game unless I use "--help".  I would very much prefer to fix it but If it is working then I can just use the wiki.
By Jove Watson, I think i've cracked it!  Well by cracked I mean I know whats causing it just no idea why! So, If I change my display name from DM Donkey to literally anything else including "GM Donkey" , "Donkey DM" , "DMDonkey" and plain old "Donkey" it works.  Change it back to "DM Donkey"  and it stops working.  When I change the name I also get the feedback for the changes I make as well.

Do you have a character named "DM Donkey"?  I really can't think of what else could be happening.

I think you are on the right track.  I do not have a player other than the GM called DM Donkey, none of the players are using it either (they can be "Hilarious..." sometimes) I changed my name to DM Donkey1 for the sake of this test. If I try and chat as the player I cant see DM Donkey  BUT, if I go to change who a character is controlled by I see DM Donkey1 AND DM Donkey (tried posting images but reply keeps failing when I do saying Page Not Found) I have tried !chatsetattr but I think it only works on numerical values anyway if I understand it right.  I get  Invalid character id O6kDC5lHDzs6ZKPewYK When I do.  I got the ID from chrome console. Any suggestions?

That is really weird. If you want to PM me an invite and GM me after I join, I could do a bit of poking around and see if I can figure out what's going on?
