The Mandate is set up to emulate TTRPG -style gaming in a space -opera setting . Instead of playing the regular heroes of the adventure , you experience the story of a falling space -empire as the various political figureheads of the setting .
This is a hybrid text -based rp game where players directly influence the decisions taken by a great space -faring empire . Take the role of one of the great people who shape the destiny of an entire species . Through your input , not only a game of regular Stellaris will be played , but the full role -play experience of building a sci -fi society can be had !
In the campaign server , we will be simulating the stages of the disintegration of the empire , while we use the Paradox Interactive game Stellaris to showcase the effective changes on every planet of the empire .
Players keep track of experience , stats , achievements , and their own goals while interacting with the broader community through their factions , be it solo or in cooperation with others .
The characters will be using Point Buy affected by their background . You can find the rulebook with more details in the discord server .
Players are allowed to have a small number of secondary . The only rule about extra characters is that they cannot be opposed to each other and that only their main character may use Actions (from the rulebook ) which give benefits to their party or the empire . A player can join an upcoming game with any character of the appropriate background .
Additionally , the server has a prolific homebrewing culture and we pride ourselves in the very strict quality assurance of custom content we create for the server . Our main focus in the homebrew is to allow you to create your own sci -fi experience, if you think that your ideas will cause any issues, feel free to talk to the game organizers.
