About the adventure: Among the rugged crags of the Barrier Peaks lies the crashed remnant of a futuristic society from a far-flung world: a spaceship that once soared between the stars. Bizarre and terrible creatures hitherto unknown to this world have emerged and attacked the peaceful fairy tale villages in the valley below and a call has gone out for brave heroes to mount an expedition to the mountain and put a stop to the violence. The players are creating characters based on fairy tales for a Studio Ghibli / Grimm's Fairy Tales / Alien crossover. Be prepared for this to get wild! Expedition to the Barrier Peaks is designed for four to six 11th-level characters. Current Party: All loosely based on Fairy Tale Characters! Tinkerbell - fairy wild magic sorcerer / warlock Captain Hook - human beast master ranger Cinderella - human echo knight fighter Red Riding Hood - human cleric About me: Discord: lordrah My name is Rob and I've been running games on Startplaying for over 3 years, with over a thousand pro sessions, and running home campaigns with friends for over 30 years. I have a ton of experience and I often bring my own stories, art, and maps to the table. I love storytelling and worldbuilding. I'm very flexible with roleplaying, willing to get into the weeds, or just wing it depending on player style. I'll do voices, but I don't get crazy, nor do I care if others do or do not use them. Tactical combat is fun, but sometimes theater of the mind sets a better scene. I can be funny, silly, serious, or weird, and I'm not afraid to improvise and follow the needs of players, even if that means going off the rails or side-questing on a whim. About my games: $30 per session per player. Minimum age 18. 3 hour sessions that meet once a week. I have a DnDBeyond account and can share resources with you if needed. Safety tools. What you will need: A decent microphone. A Roll20 account. (free) A Discord account. (free) A DnDBeyond account. Last time on our fairy tale expedition... Following instructions from Aphelion, an illusionary presence in a glass case that claims to be a construct of some kind, our fairy tale heroes continue to explore the strange and wondrous starship. They discover missing androids, most of whom have malfunctioned and need to be put down, bring back samples of irradiated objects, and begin evict a colony of fungus people infesting certain areas of the ship. Shin encounters a service robot named 33 who likes to carry things. Hook and Tink exterminate some intellect devourers. Another key card is found. In one room a clairvoyant crystal box reveals a few remote areas of the ship, including a mysterious swordsman in a red armored spacesuit, their face obscured by a glass faceplate. The crystal box then shorts out and goes dead, but Aphelion informs the party that a scientist who can fix it might be found somewhere on the lower levels. To be continued...
