Building Movement Restriction Barriers

All,     Is there a way to build a wall for movement restriction WHILE having movement restriction turned off for the dynamic lighting? I would like to build invisible walls for movement restriction but don't want my dynamic lighting barriers to restrict movement.   OR is there another way I should be doing this?  Thank-you.

Yes, if I interpret your question correctly. Use a transparent barrier to block movement without blocking sight or light. This is called a transparent wall in dynamic lighting: If you already know this and it doesn't address your problem, could you explain a little more specifically what you are trying to do?
I would like be able to draw invisible walls to block movement while still having movement restriction off on the page settings for Dynamic lighting.  I would like to both draw dynamic lighting shapes that don't restrict movement and to also separate draw invisible walls.  So for instance, I may want to turn movement restriction off on the main page settings  for dynamic lighting to draw a shape around a room that blocks light from outside while still allowing the player to move in and out of the shape but would also like to have invisible walls in the room.   If needed I can try to go into more detail if this doesn't make sense.  thank - you for any help you can provide.  - keithcurtis said: Yes, if I interpret your question correctly. It sounds to me like what is being asked is for the "blocks movement" not to be a global setting on the page but rather a setting per-object (as the Transparency quality is now). That is not possible with the current features of Dynamic Lighting. There have been suggestions asking for walls that block light but not movement (to represent curtains, for example), but I have not seen them be successful yet.
Yes, that is what I was trying to say as I may not have been clear.   I wanted to turn off the global "blocks movement setting for dynamic lighting but still be able to place other invisible walls the block movement.  I can probably find other ways around it.   I can us the lines for my blocks lighting rather than draw shapes but it is more tedious.  Mark G. said: It sounds to me like what is being asked is for the "blocks movement" not to be a global setting on the page but rather a setting per-object (as the Transparency quality is now). Ah, I see. You want to block sight but not movement, except in special cases. Yeah, not a thing, currently. There have been several requests for a sight block but not movement block wall (some call them "curtains") but no movement in that direction as far as I can see. The only other option would be some sort of dl/permanent darkness setup., using permanent darkness to block sight, and transparent walls to block movement. Cumbersome, but doable.
