Linking handouts in custom character sheet

Hello, I've been working with a sheet worker on a custom character sheet for a game system that I'm running. The game system relies heavily on journal handouts in the sheet to provide informations to the player. So far, we haven't been able to find a way to link handouts in the custom sheet in any way. Does anyone know how?

Character sheets can only operate on themselves. If you want to change things outside the character sheet, you need to use the API and scripts.

depending on what you need in the handouts, it'd be possible to just make those types of entries differeing views of the character sheet. Then you can create a sheet for "headquarters" or whatever type of "handout" you need. You won't have full text styling available, but can do a lot with styling the sheet as needed for that specific mode. Once you've created the various types of sheets, you can then use some tricks with startRoll to pull data from and set data on the created sheets.
