Sealed away in the Astral Plane by Tanil, Deity of Magic, their divine influence no longer interferes with the Material Plane and the Weave, magic, is gone. In their absence, society turned to The Boundless Conclave- Fey-beings embodying the primal forces of nature, emotion, and magic. For centuries, these entities filled the void, guiding the lives of mortals and becoming objects of worship, and granting them access to a form of magic called The Song. Centuries have passed, but now, they too are dying. The second-to-last member of the Boundless Conclave has fallen, leaving the Material Plane on the edge of collapse. Magic falters, ancient cities decay, and the forces that once bound the world together have begun to unravel. Only one member of the Conclave remains; a fragile and fading presence, teetering between life and oblivion. With the world in decline, the fate of this last fey being could determine the future of the entire realm. You and your party have been drawn together by shared purpose and fate. As Songbound, you will face this crumbling world head-on. Whether your paths crossed by chance or design, survival demands more than strength and skill- it requires trust, loyalty, and vulnerability with your comrades. In the midst of dying faith and failing magic, your greatest asset is each other. Only through forming strong connections will you stand a chance against the forces that seek to shape or destroy what remains of the Material Plane. The world is on the brink. Its future lies not only in your hands but in the strength of your bonds. In Twilight of the Boundless, you will: ✨ Form connections with your fellow Songbound ✨ Explore dangerous ruins of an age bygone ✨ Enact incredible moments of Heroics at a cost ✨ Survive in a world crumbling beneath your feet ✨ Battle a plethora of deadly creatures and fearsome foes ✨ Be part of a narrative spanning multiple in-game years ✨ Decide the fate of the world: Revive The Song or Start Anew ✨ Build our World alongside your Dungeon Master and fellow Players ✨ Possibly cry Now that we have that spiel out of the way, hello weary traveler! I'm Scott. (He/Him) I'm running Twilight of the Boundless if you haven't noticed by now. I know. I've been keeping it pretty secret. I know. This homebrewed campaign, within a homebrew world called Erund. Erund has a lot of blank spaces in its history, which I leave up to my players to help me build through map-making games and campaigns! If you're looking for a world you'll have a say in from the get go, this might be up your alley! Our game listings on Roll20 has posts that contain our Code of Conduct and explain our Character Building guidelines. My tables are safe and inclusive spaces. I've been running online games for seven years now and playing various Table Top Role role-playing games for an "oh god you're old, aren't you Grandpa" amount of time. If you're interested in my credentials, DMing style, and what my current/past players say about me, check out my DM Profile on StartPlaying.Games here: DM Profile This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $20.00 per session via StartPlaying.Games. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.
Our table still has room for 3 players interested in becoming songbound. Session Zero is 12/01.
Our table has multiple seats available for those interested in becoming songbound. Our last attempt at a Session Zero will be this upcoming Sunday, 12/08.
Openings as of 3 days ago . . . still room? I'm very experienced, adult, supportive of civil-rights (though boring cis-het white guy). Looking to stretch my legs with 2024 ruleset. Would like to play Orc champ, fighter. What do you think?

Nice! I'm central, but am game to rise early for dnd and still have most of my day for other stuff post game. What's a session 0.5? We using that for first playing session, given that one often has a lot of troubleshooting, clarification, etc?
. . . and I'm a dummy. Game time is later for central vs. Pacific. We're two hours 'ahead', not behind. I know sesh zed is for reviewing char sheets and stuff, but am I correct in assuming a 100% by the book (2024 players' handbook, so literally) char is fine?

Session Zero is actually where we go over the table rules, game themes, and then play a game of The Quiet Year for World Building! Session 0.5 serves as our introductory session where the table goes over their character, the deceased boundless they've created, and we do our introductory scenes. It's called 0.5 since a good chunk of it is just us still talking above table, rather than just straight up playing the game. But we'll still likely roll dice and have characters interact. We haven't discussed characters yet so there shouldn't be any issues with an Orc Fighter.
Thanks, I've gone over the primer, listing, and signed up for game on StartPlaying. Is there a Discord invite link? I've also made the character sheet in DnDBeyond, though it didn't like the 2024 options. I made some notes and overrode stats and such to bring char to 100% conformity with 2024 PHB generation rules. https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/137700886 I appreciate your engagement, but understand if you can't be so responsive all the time. If I don't hear anything before sesh 0, that's fine. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help before then. Thanks!
Our Session Zero is officially on for 12/29! Join us now to get in for our game of The Quiet Year and help build the campaign setting! We have two open chairs remaining.
