I know I have posted this suggestion, but I try again with another topic title. Perhaps this gathers more support. I already have replied in a survey by roll20 to the new measurement tools, what I would need for my games: A cone Measuring tool not with a fixed angle but a fixed base, where the angle is automatically adjusted with the length of the cone. In my games (The Dark Eye) there are some spells (including the favourite spell of a player of mine), where the base of the cone is fixed by his skill level in this spell, while the spell features a maximum range. By the time of casting, when he targets the spell, the base can be anywhere between him and this max range without altering the size of the base. To target for maximum efficiency, he tries to measure where to set the cone, to get as much enemies within, without hitting friends. I know it would be possible to do the math - but this means to calculate the angle as ɑ = 2 * arctan(b/(2*h)), where ɑ: angle, b: base length, h: height/range which would be only valid for a specific height of the cone. So you have to set the angle, measure exactly the fitting range and look where it would hit, then calculate for another range and try again, and so on. If we had the tool, he could just put in his base length and then measure, fitting the range and direction with a single measurement. I'm quite sure this could be useful in other games with similiar mechanics, as well as in games where perhabs base and length of a cone is given, as you don't have to calculate the angle in advance.
