[CLOSED] The group is full. Thank you for the interest! Game: D&D 5e (2014) - Milestone leveling - Homebrew. Experience: Any My Timezone: Mountain Time (MDT) Schedule: tentatively Saturdays (maybe Sundays) ~2.5 hour sessions Roles sought: 3 to 5 players preferred. Also looking for volunteer moderators for digital platforms. Game style: Casual roleplay homebrew adventure. The goal is to have fun as a group and enjoy each other's company through the game. The Homebrew Campaign: You
and your ragtag group (starting level 3) join as newbies to a powerful
and influential mercenary organization of good reputation in a standard
fantasy world. There may be any different reasons that a person
joined. Someone may have joined for the money. Another for the thrill of
adventure and good laughs. Maybe someone is having a mid-life crisis.
Or maybe they know the mercenary organization will help them achieve
their hidden goal. Or maybe you're just inserting your real-life persona
into the world. Your band of misfits will complete commissions and
eventually embark on a long quest with sub arcs. Or not. This is a story
that your group will make together. I have a storyline prepared that I
don't want to spoil here, but I'm expecting to adjust, modify, or
rewrite a new one depending on what the group ends up doing. Heck, if
the group wants to start with a different setting or campaign
completely, I'll make that happen. Settings and goals will be Session 0
stuff to discuss. Me: I
more or less have a "yes and" approach. I've run 27 sessions total, so
I still feel like a new DM. I'm looking to improve my skills in a
laid-back manner. I have a lot of fun with the two friend groups I'm
currently running with through Roll20. One is an adventure. Another is a
magic academy (a bit of open world). The friends of mine in the groups are camera shy,
so bringing up recording the sessions would be awkward and probably
change the overall vibe of the groups. Also just having a consistent
availability schedule is tough for both groups as a whole. Those people
need to stop having lives. My gosh. So I want to create a separate group to include streaming/recording. I hope that it would be entertaining for others, while also
allowing me to look back and learn or just for fun. My Strengths (I think):
Flexibility
Imagination
Soothing Voice
Not a Rules Nazi
Easily Amused
My Weaknesses (I know):
Voice Acting (almost non-existent because other than lack of skill, my brain is focusing on the current and next moves)
Descriptions and Vocabulary
Creating/Using Digital Maps
Spells
Level 6+ stuff in general
Anxiety
Not a Rules Nazi
Everything
Easily Amused
Ground Rules:
Respect one another. This includes respecting discussed boundaries in Session 0 and onward.
No toxicity
Discord app with web cam usage needed
Have fun
I plan to have the content on new Twitch and YouTube channels. Session 0 won't be streamed/recorded.
