"Inactive on your sheet" 2024 dnd 5e

I was trying to make some effects for a character, but when I gave up and deleted them, they still show up in query rolls. I already clicked remove effect, but now they are clogging up the screen with "Inactive on your sheet." How do I fix this?

That sounds like it may be a bug for us to fix. Could you let me know the exact steps you took to get this to happen (was this made in Characters or in the Tabletop, were the effects added on the combat tab via the "add effect" button or did you edit an existing one, etc)? I can let you know whether I find a way for you to fix it yourself or if there's action needed on our part.

haveing the same issue. any luck on a fix?

Could you please offer us some clarity on these questions? It would be a great help in tracking down and fixing this for everyone!

Mine actually happened at 2 different times.

so first I applied exhaustion once and since its had a "Exhaustion D20 Test Reduction" that is auto applied even though it says inactive on sheet. cant seem to figure out where it's coming from.

second was hex from the warlock stuff. it would auto apply, up till i deleted it and re-added it. there were a few other bugs like no longer being able to roll initiative as it wouldn't apply to initiative order. I just recently remade the character sheetand its running smooth.

but when i swing it doesnt do proper damage like rolling dice and it has that "hex curse" auto added even though its inactive on sheet.

currently fixed by remaking sheet.

We rolled out a fix for this bug but it only applied to newly created/added effects. We just made a ticket to roll out a fix for effects that were added before this fix. Thank you for letting us know!
