I'm going to just post my game LFP post here as well to cover all bases and speed up this process. Just keep in mind that I'm not nearly as strict as it may seem when I talk about what I want in a player. I'm cooler than a polar bear's toenails. TOMB OF ANNIHILATION WITH A SUNLESS CITADEL KICKOFF They're calling it the "Deathcurse." Yep. And it's as serious as the name is lame: Very. The priceless miracle that is resurrection magic has been rendered useless, more and more seeming like a worldwide phenomenon. What's worse, anyone who's died in the past and been brought back now finds themselves weakened and frail, slowly wilting towards a looming, permanent demise. The curse has been found to emanate from the jungle island of Chult. Ancient ruins and hordes of undead fill the mostly unexplored and dangerous jungles. The mercantile city of Port Nyanzaru stands as a bastion of civilization on the northern edge of the wilderness. Somewhere deep in the jungle, with each new lost soul, the Tomb of Annihilation grows ever more powerful. Meanwhile, your motley crew of skilled -yet relatively inexperienced- go-getters have been striving to make a name for yourselves in the bustling city of Baldur's Gate. While the Deathcurse is still just rumored whispers on the wind among the common folk, there are more influential people who desperately seek to end this calamity and hopefully reverse its effects. After your team pulls off a local heist, you catch the attention of one such individual. "But, why would they send such an untested group to deal with such a world-threatening dilemma?", you ask. Simple: They won't. Hello everyone, and welcome to my next campaign. It's going to be starting off with a classic to whet the appetite: The Sunless Citadel, from Tales of the Yawning Portal. From there we will be transitioning seamlessly into the choice cut meat of our main course: Tomb of Annihilation (at level 3). And before you ask, yes. You will most definitely be playing the aforementioned heist first (the amuse-bouche). I'll be running this hearty meal- I mean campaign!- under the 2014 rules, with access to the vast majority of the options added to it over the years (Xanathar's, Tasha's, etc). There will be some house rules, such as modifications to the long rest system, but nothing my previous players didn't accept or enjoy, and I'm always open to discussing those with the group before they are locked in. I'll be using milestone leveling, 3.5e/Pathfinder grid measurement. On the entertainment side of things, I'll be doing accents and voices for most if not all NPCs. There will be a variety of atmospheric soundtracks and music taken from anime, fantasy YouTube channels, and movie scores. I also use a variety of API & macros to add production value and speed things along, as well as improve the overall quality of life. Voice chat will be through Discord. About me: I've been DMing for about five years, with a couple of breaks, exclusively on Roll20. I've run three successful campaigns, one of which was an epic 2- year LMoP into Storm Kings Thunder with homebrew changes. I focus on having a well-rounded game with realism, immersion, and good role-playing. Sometimes things get a little silly as well (hope you don't hate puns). Ultimately, I'm all about making fair judgements and ensuring that players are having fun and meeting their goals. Also, as long as there's enough material to work with, everyone could get their own side quest (that everyone else will be happy to help out with, I'm sure). I'm looking for players with the spirit of adventure, who take risks and who are willing to immerse themselves and role play with both the group and NPCs... dig into their role and join in on the fun and drama. Sense of humor is a must, as is proper out-of-character communication. Feel free to speak up and speak your mind while avoiding stepping on others' toes. It goes without saying but I'm saying it anyway: punctuality and weekly consistency are important. I aim to do 6-8 hours per session, so it's crucial that you can commit to that many hours, and obviously we all want to play with the same awesome group from beginning to campaign's end, and hopefully stick together for the next one (Curse of Strahd, most likely). If you're still game for this epic quest and well-rounded adventure, shoot me a private message with the following info. I promise to both you and myself to take this campaign seriously, so only serious applicants should apply. A little effort shown in the app will go a long way: 1) Name or username 2) Age 3) TTRPG experience 4) At least a rough idea of your character Look forward to speaking with you soon!
