Issues with Integrated Voice and Video Tour

Hello,  Since the new Integrated Voice and Video was put in a while ago, I've had a rather annoying issue with it that I can't seem to find information on in the forums. Every single time I start Roll20, it prompts me to go through a tour of integrated voice and video. This tour prompt never ends...  I've now had it thousands of times, and it is officially obnoxious. If I try to go through the tour, it doesn't work and clears itself as I try to go through it.  The prompt is not synchronized properly with actions: it is always a step behind.  It only changes to a new prompt after you do what it is going to ask you to do next, and eventually clears itself and never lets me complete the tour.  I have attached 4 screencaps showing this progression, where you can see it only prompts things after you do them. If I try to skip it, it always comes back. No one else in my groups is having this issue, and it occurs in every Roll20 game I've played, so its not related to specific game settings. I've wasted tens of thousands of clicks wasting time on this over my use of Roll20 and I'm finally asking for help. Help! Image 1: every time I start up or reconnect. Image 2: After clicking on the cog, it still prompts you to click on the cog. Image 3, the pop-up ONLY changes, if you click on Audio and Video under the settings.  Note: AFTER you click on Audio and Video, ONLY THEN does it prompt you to click on Audio and Video. Image 4: If you click on Audio and Video a second time, the pop-up vanishes. Note: this is the ONLY way to make the pop-up go away and allow me to use Roll20.  I have to go through this process every single time.  I don't even know how many years I've been doing this...

Hi Erik K.,  This sounds like a cookie issue. Whether those are displayed is usually a thing in your browser's cookies.  If you clear the cookies regularly, or are in Incognito (Chrome) or Private (Firefox) modes that might explain why you keep seeing them.  If you are not blocking or clearing your cookies and are not using Incognito/Private mode then perhaps the cookies are damaged. I would try clearing your cookies/cache.

Gauss, good suggestion, thank you. So, I am not clearing the cookies between uses, though it does happen every time I relaunch. I am using regular Chrome or Firefox (not incognito or private and it happens in both. I have tried clearing the cookies in the past and that hasn't fixed it, but I will try again: Okay, clearing cookies and trying to start over didn't help.  The tour is still broken from the start.  Trying to do it does not prompt its completion.  Also clearing cookies and selecting "skip" doesn't allow it to go away either.  Still broken and perpetually in the way of using the site. A question about this: If the tour itself is bugged/broken as it seems to be, could that be causing the cookies to not record the tour completion properly and cause my issue? Are there other settings that can cause this to not function properly? I have baseline browsers with no ad-blockers and no controls or installed apps other than basic default.

If I remember correctly there may have been a change in the tour completing triggering the cookie.  Before just clicking on it triggered the cookie and that was causing folks to miss stuff.  One other thought, is your group using Roll20 Integrated Voice/Video?  If not I would have your GM shut it off altogether (or if you are the GM shut it off).
We are using the Integrated Voice/Video.  And it works fine for us.  Its just the tour that's killing me. I would love to figure out how to do the tour and trigger the cookie.  Or at least to trigger the cookie and not do the tour.

Alright, my best suggestion at this point is to contact Roll20 directly via the Help Center . They may be able to offer some means to get around this.  Please let me know if you don't get a response within a few business days.

It might be a good idea to include a  Console Log ( Chrome , Firefox ) from during your login. That can give them better info about what's going on.
Thank you, I submitted in the Help Center and included details from the Console Log. The Game Details Link was a little weird to find, but I think I figured it out.  I'm confused as to why that's relevant though, since its every game on the site that causes the issue.  We'll see what they say.

It may be every game on the site for you, but it's not every game on this site, for example none of my games has this. Giving your game details link can let them test it on your actual game that actually has the issue.
In response to Gold, no one else in our games has this issue.  Just me on all games.
