New DM - EU timezone - 5e - Theatre of the mind (for now)

Hello, I'd like to tell a story, together.  Maybe you could help? The setting - in broad strokes. Within a liminal space, lost and fractured, beyond fate, beyond gods and devils and worse, there exists the Labyrinth; where the seeking city of Malador trudges and slogs under the tyranny of the Archons Probably Nine . But that's not where the story starts... On the shifting border realms, the fyrd fights for citizenship, for power, but above all survival.  For those interested, we can discuss the world at large when we begin. The overview... or is it a pitch? The idea for the campaign takes from the westmarsh style, contained, mini adventures where the adventurers try to understand the world and gain power - where larger campaigns become part of the story as we progress. You'll begin in a military camp - where camp politics, intrigued, theft, corruption, and shifting power reign over gallows humour and rations the rats balk at. Part of the campaign will involve jockeying for position, trading favours, stealing food, buying and selling, all to help you survive and possibly thrive. As well as the favoured respite of the weary, the Bottleneck.  Outside the camp is a shifting unreality unbound, filled with tombs, crypts, barrows, ruins, battlefields, underworlds, heavens, and hells. You job is to explore and guide the city, marking locations of interest and looting everything you see - how much you decide to keep is up to you - but if you fail to meet your quota , you may end up in on the deaths-watch. The party will consist of a level 3 veteran, a level 2 scout and or quartermaster (second in command, open to input on your role) and 3 level 1 beginners. 1 or 2 characters will begin the story by getting lost/travelling through a fairy-gate/being cursed/dying,etc, then be assigned to their new unit. The campaign will level slowly, however, your level low level characters will be uncharacteristically overpowered. We'll be using the optional rules of blessings, charms, dark gifts, draconic gifts, free feats and free uncommon items, and potentially rare items. Those at lower levels will catch up quickly, to an extent, but some encounters will be escapes from impossible odds, others scouting, and not necessarily fights you should engage in. That will be up to you. You never know, you might just win. There will be a disparity in available information based on time in the labyrinth. The level 3 character should ideally be more experienced, but beginners welcome for all other slots. As the veteran, you'll know some of the terrors and pitfalls, but by no means all. The level 2 character will be expected to know the veteran a little- session 0 and independent talks to help - I'm not expecting you to be joined at the hip. Level 1 characters - our beginner spots - learn as you play. You'll be fine. Extra players. I'll be leaving open spots for one shots to join the story, potentially as returning characters,  either as someone new to the labyrinth, another veteran, a leader of another unit, etc. Basically dynamic NPC's as a way to spice things up and introduce people to the game who haven't played before. End game. Challenge the Archons through means political, underhanded, or through sheer power. Become robber barons and slum-lords, lords and ladies, the Castellan of the great city of Malodor-on-Gryme.  Seize an outpost to become a rival lord. Find the ruins of an ancient city to claim as your own. Become Gods... die in a ditch forgotten. Really, it's up to you, because I want to make our story. 18+ preferred, europe preferred, at least 1 note taker needed for the veteran position.  Multiclass and broken characters welcome. Weird and wonderful races and whatever dream characters more than welcome. Keep in mind it will take time to reach level 5, and be a crawl after that to 10, so don't build around level 20 characters - the point is to be very powerful but in danger. With that in mind, I'm not trying to kill anyone and certainly not tpk, but exhaustion is a thing, supplies are a thing, thinking outside the box, clever tactics, political maneuvering, rule of cool - you'll be rewarded. Reply in the thread for now, DM, if you're shy. Let me know what you think, a bit about what you like, character ideas, end goals, playstyle, etc As a dm I'll try to do voices, accents, etc,  but I have a deep ish voice, so you get what you get. We'll have session 0 to set up. I'd like to work with people to build their characters (suggest feats etc  to help you survive)  There will be a session 0.5 where our level 1(s) get lost and wander into the labyrinth- everyone else can sit in or read the notes. Pretty open to suggestions- there is a lot of world ready, but it's very, very, open. Regards...
2 confirmed, 1 maybe, 1 npc / recurring character for Saturday evenings GMT
Tentative example build- shadar kai rogue, dark gift of a living shadow, shadow touched feat. Currently workshopping, but gives an idea to power scaling for the beginning of the game.
Hello, my name is Tiffany, but I prefer to go by Davis. After reviewing your pitch, it looks like it would be a lot of fun! I am relatively new to D&D, so if you're still looking for players, I would like to join as a level 1 character.  Currently, I am playing in a custom game for beginners with three other new players and one seasoned player. The game is similar to solo leveling, and I am playing the role of a warlock, as I'm used to playing games from a distance. However, I am considering switching things up and trying out a berserker or barbarian. I think this campaign would be a great opportunity for me to test out that style of gameplay.  Hopefully, that makes sense!
Heya! I would like to also join. I am GMT+2. Are there any free spots available still? Thank you!
