“Every World is a star, every Star is a soul. No body here belongs, every one is unique.” - Guildmaster of Sorah The Sphere of Sorah is an interesting one. When one ends up here, they die. Or–very quickly find the way of things; treasure. That’s the way of things. Sorah is coated in ferocious swirling, ever changing wastelands. Shifting sands, crumbling ruins, churning needles and canyons, lava swamps, caverns that pull you forever down– it is treacherous, but with enough experience it is navigable. The only thing worth anything is what is held within– survival at the hand of greed and personality. This world is run by guilds. Towns, villages, and cities dotting the wastes attempt to have their own governance, but everybody knows where the power is; Gravediggers. Sorry, Thieves. No? Treasure Hunters? Okay. Guilds of Treasure Hunters permeate the land, and just about everybody is part of one. The guilds, small and large, wrestle for treasure and influence in the cities and towns of Sorah. Oh yes, new treasures. Sorah has a very unique makeup that may need some investigation to understand properly. Every night, stars in the sky fall to the ground, a well known occurrence of course. Where do they come from? Nobody knows or cares to find out. These landing sites are prime locations for new treasures, buried within the wreckage of ancient, haunted, trapped, monster-filled ruins. When the Starfall occurs, each guild sends a team to race to the locations. While most contain gems, coins, and generic magic items, sometimes something special will fall. Something storied. Something unique. These items are the blood of society, and a boon to any guild that can lay claim to them. Within the guilds what matters is your title. How you get your title is the treasure, you see. When there’s nothing else but who you are and what you stand for, Treasure Hunters tend to grow into a bit of personalities. Sometimes, though, that’s not what you want. Just getting by is more than an option, and in a world that doesn’t really agree with your existence, getting by is a win. And, well, you’re here now. And you want to win.
About me
My name is Drew and I've been running D&D since I was in high school. I am disabled from a brain tumor and have had to adjust how I play D&D. Over the last 5 years I have been running games from my friends and family on Roll20 as well as various games for people joining from around the world. I have worked at different hobby stores, the most recent one having closed this month. The bright side is that I get to focus back on running games. The games I run are short with a break after an hour in order to not overwhelm myself. The frequency and length of my games can be frustrating for people who are very excited but can be the perfect match for many.
