S097_Lizard_Men                 Recap Sunday January 6, 2019                 The group would also incur liabilities such as having to follow the law, require warrants to enter non-public areas during an investigation, surrender their ‘secret identities’, add their fingerprints to AFIS, and submit DNA to the federal DNA registry, forfeit the payments made for the royalties on their images, and be on-call 24/7 (except when on vacation or taking personal time).                   The cold section and the hot sections are becoming more extreme. The cold is –20 to –30 degrees while the warm zone is getting hotter 80, 90, and 100 degrees.           Sunday January 6, 2019                 Big Tuna:                 Tuna is working on getting Grandpa home to Japan.                 He is also looking for Red Tie Guy’s cyber-ninjas                 Big Tuna learns of a Koi, a member of the Bloody Rain Yakuza can make travel arrangements for people. He normally brings them into America but he can arrange for a trip in the other direction.                 He learns that Koi hangs out at a Snooker hall in Little Japan called Pocket Paradis. He is described as wearing dark sunglasses, white t-shirt, usually with a half consumed cigarette in his mouth, with a pack of cigarettes rolled in his left shirt sleeve.                 The woman at the counter rents snooker balls sets to the patrons for $10 for the first hour, $15 for each additional hour. After 12-noon you can buy beer.                 Tuna spots Koi shooting Snooker with a group of men as he enters the parlor. Koi bets on every game he plays.                 Tuna challenges him to a game and they discuss getting Tuna’s grandfather back to Japan. Koi agrees for the price of $10,000. He gives Tuna a piece of paper with a time later tonight and address on it. Bring the passage here and Koi will take make sure that he gets home to Japan safe and sound.                                 1PM                 Tuan goes home and gives Grandpa the good news. Grandpa complains that he was never asked if he wanted to go back. Tuna basically tells him that it wis what is best for him. Grandpa accuses Tuna of just wanting to get him out of his way. Their conversation is interrupted when Tuna’s trouble alert signal is activated.                   Impact:                 Impact spends the day working on digging tunnels, developing his ability. He zips out of town in a wide open field and practice his digging. He brought a sack lunch with him to the field because he knows he will get hungry. He decides that the negative 40+ is too cold for him to endure long term he decides to stay in the unnatural tropic zone.                 While looking for a good spot to practice his hyper-digging he comes across a young woman, twenty years old or so, who is struggling with a flat tire. Her elderly father is in the car with the AC blasting trying to keep cool. The girl, Deanna Graham, is dressed in a yellow sleeveless vest, denim cut-off shorts, and thong sandals. Impact decides to help her. He runs back to the Bunker and asks Babs if she has a tire that would fit a 1997 Chevy Nova Hatchback. She doesn’t and it being Sunday finding an open tire shop is going to be a hardship. Still she promises him that she will find one. Impact thanks her and rushes back to Deanna. Half an hour later Babs calls him, she had arranged for a replacement tire. She also lets Impact borrow one of the hydraulic jacks she uses in the motor pool. She tells him pointedly that she wants the jack back. He agrees and runs off to rescue the fair maiden in distress.                   Revenant and Paladin independently decide to check out the Empire State Building where this unnatural heat seems to originate from. They spy each other as they are flying across the river. They get together and travel together.                 Reaching the 102 story building Paladin senses danger from above and below. He decides to go up and Revenant goes to the basement levels invisible and desolidly.                   As he approaches the top of the building he notices the temperature rises noticeably but not radically. Reaching the top he finds the communication towers, microwave arrays, and cell phone antennas all in place and working normally but something tells him that something is wrong and they are dangerous.                 Paladin calls Doctor McQuark’s office and his call in answered by Lydia. After a quick explanation he is transferred to the good doctor. Using the cameral on his phone he lets McQuark check out the equipment. He is impressed and says, in his opinion, the array is definitely the source of the warming around Manhattan. He says that it can’t be the sole source of warming but it is the master unit. He says there must be repeater stations scattered around the warming zone. The smaller the units are the more of them there will be. He says they can’t be smaller than a fire hydrant and (probably) not larger than a dumpster. He also says that the power needed would be huge. If the array of devices drew on the local power grid the energy drop would be noticed, blackouts and brownouts and such.. He thinks they must be operating on some kind of broadcast power system but not of his equipment has noticed anything.                 He is going to summon Mick Krammer and Bill Brady (GM Note, in the game I said James Price but I goofed. Price is the sales and service  manager while Brady is a gifted electrician) to help he run sweeps looking for evidence of a broadcast power system.                 As McQuark ends the call he warns that the amount of power going through the system is considerable and might be volatile. He suggests not touching or hitting components of the array otherwise there might be a huge explosion!                 Meanwhile in the basement ….                 Revenant has found a trio of lizard-men (actually dragon-man) building a large device. One of the dragon men stands over 13 feet tall and sports a pair of wings. The big guy has a tail but the smaller, man sized ones, are tail-less. The large one is directing the others in their tasks. While he is watching a video screen lights up as the large dragon-man receives a video call. The image on the screen looks like an orange human-dinosaur hybrid. The orange thing demands a status update from Draco (the big, winged dragon-man). Draco calls the orange one Stegron and informs him that they are partners, Draco is not his minion. Draco tells Stegron that The Neutralizer will be ready within the hour. He also says that The Lizard is out recruiting lizards and reptiles to their army. When The Neutralizer is activated the crocodiles, serpents, and other lizards will feast on man-flesh. Stegron tells Draco his resurrection ray is ready. When The Neutralizer is activated he will restored all the dinosaur fossils to living (and hungry) status! Today the world that was stolen from them by a cosmic fluke (the meteor the extinguished the dinosaurs) will be corrected! Draco tells Stegron that ‘Dragon King’ is at the Empire State Building providing security. Stegron ends the call so that Draco can finish The Neutralizer. Revenant calls McQuark. Doing the same thing that Paladin did he lets McQuark look over The Neutralizer. McQuark believes The Neutralizer will deactivate biological energy sources. Depending on how much power is feed into The Neutralizer it could cause unconsciousness or death on a massive scale. He would need to be able to examine the device and comb through the device’s programming to see what it would most likely do. McQuark thinks it might be set to target only humans, and again depending on the power source it might kill or render everyone in the areas of effect dead or unconscious. He also cautions about banging on the machine because, with the amount of power it could be also be volatile. Bang on machine and it might blow up. Paladin recalls the team to the Empire State Building to engage Draco and neutralize The Neutralizer! The battle begins … to be continued, Same Bat-Time, same Bat-Channel.
