LFG Improvements

Hi, Can we please have a looking for group system that functions better than an open forum? This should increase engagement with your product. Rough example I'm randomly making up right now : 1. Set a time and day you are LFG. 2. Add tags that say what kind of game and group you are looking for. 3. Have GM tags given to you by your players. Maybe you can only see the good tags? This idea may come with too many social problems. 4. Trophies &/or tags that help people find who they are looking for. Search by a time you need a player. it gives you a list of available players. To reduce this list you search by tags or trophies.

Good news, Roll20 has that already.&nbsp; It's been called "Join a Game" for a while, and is a link in the top menu drop-downs. <a href="https://app.roll20.net/lfg/search/" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/lfg/search/</a>
Awesome!
Hi, I just took a look at join a game. Unless im missing something, t's not much better than an open forum. So I stand by my original post, as i don't see an available solution. I need to be able to search the following. 1. Players/GMs available on a day and time in select. 2. Relevant searchable tags that show what each person wants in a game. Ex: Story, role play, combat, horror, ect.
I just found the advanced search for looking for group. It's closer, but it's still needs work. I've been on roll20 for years and I didn't know about a basic " looking for group button:. The organization of things is frustrating, but I don't know if the feeling is just me or if all users feel that way.

It's not just you, The system needs improvements. There are several Suggestions threads about this that you can Vote +1. In the past Roll20 did a Survey of users and reported that the Number 1 request was making it easier to find games to join. So the Roll20 Dev staff started to make some improvements on it. Unfortunately the improvements were broken when initially launched and Roll20 withdrew them. After that Roll20 changed some staff members and has never updated any feature of Roll20 that helps people find games since then. It was a few years ago.&nbsp; Improvements to the LFG system is probably the number-one way that Roll20 could grow the membership and increase the daily active user base of this website.&nbsp; I'm glad you found the date-and-time feature, since that exists. As far as finding out the play-style you have to read the Description and the GM's can type whatever they want in the Description so they could tell you things like storytelling-based if they choose to, but it's not generalized Tags.&nbsp; If you have some +1 votes consider looking through the Suggestions forums and upvote the ones related to game-finding.&nbsp;
Thanks for the information! You've been very helpful. Is see the + vote thing. But i have no idea how it works. You make it sound like I can get votes to give votes. But i don't know how to get votes to give them.

On the top-right of this link, it should tell you how-many + Votes you have available to cast. <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/category/385189" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/category/385189</a> Click the Grey Triangle to the left of the title of any Suggestion on there, to +1 meaning upvote it. Roll20 has said they would reply to Suggestions getting +250 votes or more. Many of the top-voted Suggestions have ultimately been implemented by Roll20 over the years although some of them are a long wait.&nbsp;
