Hello! I am interested in hosting a short adventure called "Heart of Stone" from the book Frontiers of Eberron: Quickstone , which converts stuff from the general Eberron setting to fit into changes with the new 5e books. I live in EST United States, and look to host this in the evenings on a weekday (preferably Monday or Thursday). At most, I would manage five players. FAQ 1. What is Eberron? An alternate DnD setting put into book form back in the early 2000's. If you have ever heard of Artificers and Warforged, that is their original source. Trains powered by magic are a thing. Most mob monsters have their own societies with interesting cultural outlooks. Goblins, for example, are known as the most prized innovators of weaponry in the world. High-level magic is rarer than the typical setting, but low-level magic is so prevalent that it powers almost everything in the world and a significant amount of the populations know at least one cantrip. Anything from the DnD source-books has a place in Eberron, just in a different manner. 2. What is the Frontier? What is Quickstone? On the western border of Breland (a human nation known for its skyscraper cities), there is the nation of Droamm which is full of monsters like harpies and medusas. This contested region is called the Western Frontier and (apt for the name) styles itself after the Wild West period with dusty plains, a strip of rail, and loose laws. Yes, there will be cowboy hats. Quickstone is the last bastion of civilization before arriving into the kingdom of Droamm, and thus has become a populated frontier town that hinges its economy on smuggling and quickstone (a building material local to the area that is prized for converting from soft to solid and vice versa with only a bit of magic). Every trope of a wild west town can be found here, except with wands instead of guns (although guns do still exist). 3. What is the premise of "Heart of Stone?" An adventure taking place in and around Quickstone with major stakes involving a cult centered around an alien god of stone. It will start with level one adventurers and, through milestone leveling, will reach level five by the end . Any archetype of character is permitted, although I may suggest background details for your character to match with the overall Eberron setting (example: if you want to play a Cleric, I will suggest the various divinities and their churches that your character may be involved in). 4. What character creation stuff has been added? For species: Gargoyles, Gnolls, Harpies, Medusas, Warforged, and Worgs (yes, they can talk). For subclasses: Barbarian (Path of the Demonshard), Bard (College of Wands), Cleric (Commerce Domain), Ranger (Bloodhound), Sorcerer (Nemesis Sorcery), Warlock (Stone Sovereign) For backgrounds and feats: Stuff involving Dragonmarks, stuff to involve your character in an Eberron druidic order, stuff to better wand skills including a new fighting style feat specifically with magic attacks. For more details, I am happy to share! If you are interested, let me know in the replies and offer some character ideas you'd like to play in such a setting.
