They still display as red, but the advantage shading overrides that. That is the dropped die.
Here is with no advantage/disadvantage shading (always roll advantage which should be renamed to always roll 2d20):

This. And that should be extended to the D&D 5e (2024) Sheet as well.
Is there a way to make it show red regardless?

Use Always Roll Advantage, then there is no shading.

Always Advantage is a setting, the setting is currently set for Toggle.
Click the "cog" next to Spells, then in the 3rd column, near the top switch the Advantage from Toggle to Always.
