Hello all!

We are thrilled to announce that today marks the first step toward enhancing your tabletop gaming experience online and in person. We are so grateful for your support and can't wait for you to enjoy the three major benefits of this integration!

This is the Alpha Phase, a fantastic appetizer as we prepare more courses for you! The Beta Phase, coming in mid-Q2, is something we're all eagerly anticipating. It will expand upon this and open up even more options to utilize the power of Demiplane and Roll20 together.

Today, you get to enjoy:

Cross-Platform Sync - Hope Reborn from R.Talsorian and ALL Marvel, Paizo, and ALIEN: The Roleplaying Game titles. If you bought it on Roll20, you get it on Demiplane for no additional cost.
Use the Starfinder 2e Playtest Sheet from Demiplane in the Roll20 VTT.
Shared Subscription Benefits

Reposting this from where I'd originally posted it before this forum existed :)

Hello!

Our group is looking to run through some testing of the Demiplane character sheet inclusion and we've stumbled upon a few things that I figured I'd share here, as there may be others with similar questions.

First, there doesn't appear to be any easy way to create the NPCs you'd need for encounters outside of creating another complete Demiplane character. Are there plans to put something like that in place, to allow for a more scaled-down version of the sheet for NPCs?

Second, in starting to tinker with some macros I found that the Computers and Piloting skills do not have attributes that are visible on the character sheet. "computers" and "piloting" throw errors when one attempts to reference them.

Third, there also does not appear to be any easily determined way to reference the weapon attack attributes. Again, nothing appears in the attributes section of the sheet and some attempts to reference something using the spell attack attribute as a potential naming convention did not turn up anything that worked.

Last, when clicking on the "Cast" button for a spell I do not see any chat output. I don't know if that's the intent or if maybe that component isn't implemented yet, but figured I'd mention it.

I'm optimistic around what we're seeing here, so far, and look forward to hearing back on the above questions as well as potentially seeing a Character Sheet Wiki entry that might address what's above as well as other features!

Known issue of Abomination Vaults not unlocking here if owned on Demiplane due to the 3 volume vs. 1 volume sets. Placed support ticket at Demiplane…

Hi Rajesh! We appreciate this feedback, thank you for testing the Integration and letting us know your thoughts. We've answered a few of your questions below.

First, there doesn't appear to be any easy way to create the NPCs you'd need for encounters outside of creating another complete Demiplane character. Are there plans to put something like that in place, to allow for a more scaled-down version of the sheet for NPCs?

NPC sheets do not exist in Demiplane yet, but they are in development. There are plans to implement these and we'll be sure to provide updates as soon as we can!

We love hearing feedback on additional attributes that users would like to see.  This was our first iteration, and we are working to expose a significantly higher number of attributes in the Public Beta.

Last, when clicking on the "Cast" button for a spell I do not see any chat output. I don't know if that's the intent or if maybe that component isn't implemented yet, but figured I'd mention it.

If you cast a spell with a roll, you'll see the output in Roll20's chat. However, "information only" interactions aren't set up yet. Great feedback, we will certainly want to add this functionality.

We're excited to hear this is a promising start so far, and let us know if you have any additional questions or feedback! :)

Thank you! Looking forward to iterations and will continue to provide feedback as we stumble upon things :)

Quick update to findings with the Starfinder2 character sheet. It looks like some attributes, like computers and piloting, are now showing on the sheet in Roll20, however it also appears that any attempt to reference any of the predefined sheet attributes is returning "undefined". So a reference like @{selected|character_name} which was working just yesterday, is now always returning "undefined".

For exmaple, my scriptcard output from yesterday. Most of it is referencing user-defined values to generate an attack and damage roll in a single call, but it was pulling character_name from the selected token and displaying it in the title. Today that same macro is showing "undefined" in the title.

This issue seems to have resolved itself.

Rajesh N. and I played through some SF2 with the demiplane integration recently together and we saw a couple other things we thought might help game flow and speed play or visibility on sheets.

First, in the SF Demiplane linked sheet when you click a roll, not only does it show in the chat but it it also has a Dice rolls overlay on the sheet itself.  This overlay is quire large and these toast like messaged hover over the sheet blocking access to the sheet until closed.  The next roll pops this open again, always showing the last three rolls.  I can see how someone may want to have this overlay floating, but a configuration option to disable this floating dice overlay on the sheet would be useful for some of us who don't really need that as we have the chat log and it obscures too much of the sheet.

Another thing we noticed was tracking expenditure of ammo on items was a little tedious.  You click an attack roll, then have to click the weapon name to open the side panel, then scroll down to the expend to remove a shot.  It would be really awesome if there was at the simplest, a button on top level weapon entry for expending to avoid the extra panel clicks and scrolling.  Even better, it would be cool to automatically apply the expend on an attack roll (Maybe this on a config flag so some games could turn it off?).

Third, I think it would be nice if not already mentioned or in progress, to have combined roll templates like a lot of the other sheets/systems on Roll20.  Like when you roll a weapon attack, it would also include the damage roll, to avoid a second click.

Finally, I really want to highlight having NPC sheets/monster sheets should be a high priority.  I saw it was on the roadmap which is awesome, just want to highlight how essential it is.   Without those its really difficult to get monster and npc rolls into roll20.  For our game we had non-character sheet characters and added custom attributes and custom macros to make attacks, and that worked ok, but it was a significant amount of custom work to make it playable.  The only other option would have been to use the dice roller and manually make every roll.  Being able to snap a compendium entry right into the game with rolls and stats is the essential part of this.

I really thought the PC connection to Demiplane was really pretty slick and worked very well.  The players used it and I used it for some of the pregens to use as NPCs (with PC sheets obviously).  The updates from Demiplane to Roll 20 worked well and even the updates from in game in roll20 back to Demiplane were nicely done.

I think this has a ton of potential moving forward.

I linked my accounts, and it appears all the Marvel stuff I own synced...except the core rulebook. How can I get that fixed?

Hi David! Did you obtain the Marvel Core Rulebook via coupon? There is a known bug regarding coupons that we're currently working to resolve. If that's not the case, please reach out to our Support Team and they'll be happy to assist: https://support.demiplane.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

We apologize for the inconvenience and will do our best to ensure you get your content as soon as possible!

So to clarify, with the new sync, if you buy a book on Demiplane, like PF2 NPC Core, do you get the associated compendium on Roll 20?

Yes, as long as that content exists on both platforms by Paizo, Marvel, Free League, and Paradox! You'll need to connect your Demiplane and Roll20 accounts first, then hit "Sync Content" to receive the title in your library.

Hopefully you all won't forget to add the conditions to the NPC/Monster sheets, thats a HUGE deal sadly was promised but always overlooked for Pf II, and now it will be in SF II playtest and once we have the official release.

The Demi/Roll20 sheet use is ok but not that usable as us GM's have to jump through hoops to get monsters in a demi Roll20 linked game.  lets hope for a lot more progress and better looking rolls sooner or later.

Still sticking to the Pf II sheet then copy paste SF II Playtest stuff on the character and NPC/Monster sheet, a pain, but it works.

5 months til SF II will be officially out so time is ticking away!!

Hi

I have a massive problem. I've bought nearly all the Marvel Multiverse content on Roll20. I also bought some on Demiplane. Now you have cross platform synch' I have synched my accounts and have the content on both platforms.

Because of this it is recognised that I have bought some things twice and Demiplane had a discount on it's bundle which includes The Spider verse Expansion, The Avengers Expansion and the Deadpool Adventure which I didn't have on Roll20.

I contacted Demiplane and asked them if I bought the bundle on Demiplane would I get everything on Roll20. They replied very fast with an effective Yes.

Consequently I bought the bundle and it did indeed open up the Deadpool adventure in Roll20, and I mean all the content. All good so far.

Then the Spider verse Expansion came out and I don't have the compendium entries for the Spider Verse in Roll20. I also pre-ordered it and I don't have the pre-order character avatars/tokens.

I can't express how much I need this info' in the compendium in roll20, and I feel I was lied to or misinformed at best. I have looked on Roll20 and there is no way to buy the Spider Verse book in roll20 to open up the new compendium entries because it recognises I have already bought the expansion.

I could make characters in Demiplane with all the new rules and features but there is no way to transport those characters into Roll20, as such the more books that come out the more useless Roll20 will be to me to host Marvel games in.

I notice the same with the Avengers Expansion, I have the pre-order in Demiplane but it has not opened up the Pre-order in Roll20 and I think the same thing is going to happen when that Expansion is released. In roll20 it states that the avengers expansion has compendium entries, but I fear the Demiplane version does not have roll20 compendium entries.

As such I feel totally cheated and more than a little..........

Is there any way for me to get the Spider verse entries in Roll20 and the upcoming Avengers expansion? I would ask for a refund so I can buy the books in roll20 and have them open up in Demiplane and then I will get the rules in both places, but your statements that buying in one place opens it up in the other seems like a complete con to me, especially when I asked about this and was completely misinformed.

The answer I should have received is: "No, if you get the books in Demiplane you will not get the compendium in roll20. If I had been told this I would have purchased the book through roll20.

Please help or refund my money, and amend your claims about compatibility. I also refer you to the answer just above by Brooke where she clearly says "Yes, as long as that content exists on both platforms by Paizo, Marvel, Free League, and Paradox! You'll need to connect your Demiplane and Roll20 accounts first, then hit "Sync Content" to receive the title in your library."

Hi Dak! We understand your frustration, and are sorry for any confusion. Let me clarify how the Spider-Verse Expansion works on Roll20.

There isn’t a Spider-Verse Expansion Compendium on Roll20. Instead, we offer a VTT Companion, which includes two Art Packs and an Add-On featuring Dynamically Lit maps and tokens. With that Add On, you'll get access to all of the new characters in your library to use, drag & drop, and run with Roll20 Sheets.

If you purchased the Spider-Verse Expansion on Demiplane, it automatically unlocked the Roll20 VTT Companion for free. That companion content is the extent of what we currently have available for the expansion on Roll20.

The Avengers Expansion will also be supported by a VTT Companion only on Roll20.

Looking ahead, we’re working on integrating Demiplane’s Marvel Character Sheets into the Roll20 VTT this summer (Apr-June). This means you’ll be able to use all your Demiplane Compendium content directly within Roll20!

We appreciate your patience and feedback, and let us know if you have any questions!
